Ok the UFC and their investors… but we’re talking between you, me and a bunch of other hardcore fans here. Why the fuck do YOU care about that? If you follow the sport, and you know what each fighter brings to the table than the fight sells itself.

Chael was boring and Anderson Silva was exciting, it doesn’t matter that one guy never talked and the other guy couldn’t shut up, I always knew which one of them is more likely to give me an entertaining show.

Because you are not a casual fan, and in order to generate millions of ppv buys you need casual fans.

I don't care either way since I will always watch, I am just saying it makes sense he will earn less if he talks less. Thats the way the world works. If McGregor never opened his mouth, he wouldn't be living in a yacht.

Chael made the most of his poor win-loss record, but Tom Aspinall doesn't believe he needs to sell himself out and act like a clown for 'views and money'.

Is he right?

Is he wrong?

Is there a way he can put himself in the spotlight without being a phony like Chael, Strickland or Colby?

I'm with Aspinall on this one. Especially in a relatively shallow and rapidly aging division like HW, hype is not as hard to come by naturally (without wolf tickets) as it is at LW/WW, where you can go on a 8-fight streak and still not be in the spotlight.

Strong point.

It's not like Aspinall is just another nameless killer at an oversaturated weight class, he's crushing top ten heavies.

Chael Sonnen, the same guy who was convinced people still gave a shit about the BMF prop belt months/years later. Yeah that guy could never miss with his opinion.

Chael's philosophy/business strategy is as follows:
1) Keep throwing crap at the wall, something's gonna stick
2) Even a broken clock is right twice a day
