The eye poke situation would get a lot better if the UFC adopted a less poke prone glove design and if refs took a zero tolerance approach to eye pokes.

Here's the reality - it was a real injury, found by a real doctor, that required real surgery to fix. I don't care which dumb conspiracies you decide to believe.

I get your point but the issue is that the UFC could have redesigned the gloves years ago as other organizations have. They have known there’s a way to reduce eye poke injuries but they refused to do it.

I’ll give Tom the benefit of the doubt regarding the seriousness of his particular injuries, although I will concede that’s it’s possible he’s mentally fragile.
