It is funny how in their primes GSP was the only one expected to move up and fight arguably one of the greatest fighters. Anderson did not move up and fight Jones but GSP is expected to move up and when he doesn’t he is called a coward.

He beat Bisping and was a 185 champ. Yeah he ducked the rest of a stacked 185 division. But AS stuck around and took a bunch of L's. So it's not like he was ducking AS or anything, he was ducking Yoel and co. If Gastelum can knock down Izzy, GSP can overcome AS's size advantage. That doesn't mean he'd win, I think Hendo and Belfort were better fighters and oh well one mistake is all it takes and it could easily go that way. If Serra could KO GSP so could AS, but that doesn't mean it would be likely.
