News TJ Dillashaw Notifies the UFC of his Retirement

So, does he really mean..

Ducking out of the USADA testing pool. And going to drown in peds. And then return in 18 months or some shit.

Then comes back and says it was the best TC of his life and shit.

First thing that came to mind as well.

Retire, inject everything possible to return to form, come back in a year and a half.

I figured he would be one of those guys that just keeps holding on and delusionally telling himself that he'll win the belt again while fighting into his 40's before finally getting released after a 3 fight KO loss streak. He's a true competitor combined with being an egomaniac and generally those guys have trouble seeing that their time at the top has ended.

Anyways, at the end of the day, he had a fantastic career. Came in with a wrestling background and became an elite striker and high level champion. His win over Renan Barao as a short notice replacement with minimal experience against high level competition was amazing. And he just built on that and kept getting better. Best of luck in retirement.

What a joke. Dude is literally falling apart without his vitamins. Im amazed how many of you are actually saluting his retirement and ignoring the fact that he cheated his whole career. There is no way in hell he is really retiring. He will just leave the USADA pool for a year and a half and do the "McGregor therapy" in order to "fully recover".

he was an exciting fighter, but shoulda never came back after the sandy fight, his shoulder was severely compromised but he took the fight anyways.

Shameful...took the spot of someone who could go, and it is irredeemable in my eyes.

He is selfish, and won't really be missed by most people; except his delusional fanboys.

Well damn. Happy retirement and good to call it a day while the body is still intact.

Still don’t understand why TJ got all the hate that he did for leaving Team Alpha. The guy switched teams and found success which proved he made the right call. This is something that has been numerous amount of times by many fighters, so why does only TJ get criticized for it.

If thats the case USADA is dead.

USADA has never worked fairly. It grossly favors fighters that live in places like Russia, UAE, Thailand, and other countries with high levels of corruption, state-sponsored doping programs, or lack of infrastructure.

Good riddance you cheating snake however I don't think he's done in his mind. I think he follows the Conor protocol - gets out if USADA pool, loads up on hgh and peptides after surgery and comes back at age 39 for at least 1 - 2 more fights.

All the King's horses and all the King's men

Fun career. Sucks that he cheated, but I did enjoy his fights. Glad he quit while he was ahead.

He's old and his arm is fucked.. Those light division are a young mans division too. Not surprised

Did he ever care about having fans?

The dude always had an exciting fighting style but doesn't seem to have any kind of relationship with a fan base.

Henry Cejudo tries to have fans and adores the small following that he has, Petr Yan is always sending messages to his supporters, Khabib feels like he has a lot of responsibility because people look up to him... does TJ Dillashaw have an of that lol
TJ thinks that using epo and hitting the mitts in the airport is giving back to his fans
