TJ Dillashaw is the best bantamweight ever (skillwise)

Cejudo has like 2 BW fights in his whole career that aren’t against no-names. 3 if you count Dustin Kimura. It would take an absolute shitload of BW fights and wins for Cejudo to be deemed the best BW ever.

In terms of accomplishments?? Dude, Aljo has 2 BW title defenses. Beating Cejudo will make 3. Cruz had 4 in his first reign, and a 2nd reign with 1 defense. He’s got 7 total title fight wins. In terms of accomplishments, Aljo has some work to do to surpass Cruz.
Greatest and best are two different things. Cruz has the best accomplishments but any version of Cruz at any point in his career gets embarassed by Cody and stopped by CCV

Skill all round skill he is probably the p4p goat.

Dom by far. Guy had like 6 years off in his prime and still came back competitive in the highest parts of the division

TJ 1,4,5

I would love to see him rematch Cruz
His fights against Garbrandt were badass

Agree or disagree?

Extremely well rounded. High level striking and wrestling. Great TDD and sub defense. Great fight IQ. No holes. His performance in the first Barao fight might be the greatest title fight performance ever. Also his early performances like against Tamura and Viana underrated. Soto, Cruz (arguably won), Lineker (he schooled Lineker), 2 Garbrandt fights. Amazing performances. He always showed up. Even his performance against Sandhagen. With one leg and one eye, he still managed to win. Got that dog in him.

Unfortunately he cheated, took EPO because he was drained and couldn't train at all and he was past his prime and he had one arm against Aljo but there's no denying his talent. I also think he would beat Cejudo at BW.

His evolution is also something to behold. In just 6 fights (Dodson to Barao 1) he went from being a grappler to a high level kickboxer. I have no idea how he evolved so quickly and looked like that. My mind was blown watching his footwork in the Barao fight. Insanely talented.

One of the most aesthetically pleasing fighters. TJ will always be one of my favorite BWs.

Nope, it’s Cruz

That's like cheating to get valedictorian and saying that person is the smartest person in their graduating class.

Agree or disagree?
Disagree; Cruz has the most top ten ranked wins at Bantamweight and even when he was passed his prime and had a long layoff he still managed to defeat Dillashaw.

He was on PEDs for the first Barao fight, his teammates openly talked about it, and when you look at how Dillashaw won that fight (insane cardio pressure) and what he later popped for (EPO) then it's not unfair to asterisk Dillashaw's entire career. Garbrandt also specifically called Dillashaw out for EPO before Dillashaw ever fought Cejudo. Furthermore, if not administered correctly, EPO can kill you, it's not something someone takes as their first foray into PEDs.

“There was another instance leading up to the Chico (Camus) fight (in 2014), when he was getting ready for (Renan) Barao,” Holdsworth added. “And then it comes to where I hear he’s on some special supplements and stuff, and I just lost respect for the guy. There’s no hard feelings, it’s whatever it is, but he’s a cheater.”

Faber himself, in the lead-up to his UFC 199 fight against Dominick Cruz, infamously said that Dillashaw looked like “a prepubescent little teenager right now because USADA came in” and added “it's very obvious” when pressed on the statement.

I have a hard time believing that he only used for that one fight.

It’s difficult to parse the ped use from his actual skill set when his primary strengths were cardio and constant movement, which requires great cardio to implement effectively.

Well we saw his gyno titties before that

Skillwise TJ is top notch.
Cruz was too many years injured and retired, the division catched up to him. Also TJ had the meanest juice stack, which improves skill by repetition.

If technique alone is a factor I would throw Garbrandt in there. Beautiful hands, good kicks, great wrestling.
Yes, his fight IQ, non existant reach and bad chin is a problem. But his skill and technique is awesome.
Also 6 years younger, still time to develop. It's funny that age wise he should be in his prime.
