TJ Dillashaw is the best bantamweight ever (skillwise)

I would give as much credit to Duane Ludwig as to Dillashaw for his kickboxing improvements.
Won't bother talking about PED's, we already know that advantage that brought.

The top 5 BW of today absolutely would crush him. Sandhagen, a less experienced fighter, thrashed him good. TJ would have been the dream stylistic matchup for Chito Vera & Sean O'Malley too. They would have beat the breaks off of him.

Absolutely not. TJ was past his prime and had one leg and one eye and Cory still couldn't beat him.
Prime TJ against the top 5:
Alga - Prime TJ (and 2 armed) dog walks him
Merab - Tough fight
O'Malley - Schools him. Mixes it up and O'MyLeg has no answer. Look what Yan did to him. TJ is a D1 wrestler.
Vera - Beats him everywhere.
Yan - Would be a great fight. Very competitive.
Cory - His corpse beat him <45>

Yan and Sterling are the only ones I can see Dillashaw beating. Good style matchups. Yan is slow and lacks elite level fight IQ. The rest tune him up. Sandhagen could easily have taken a decision and would certainly trounce him in a rematch.

Well why even post at all if you don’t care what people reading think? Just say it to yourself in your own head… would spare us all from reading that drivel for one
Sorry sir but I don't care that some random person I don't know disagrees with me. Sorry you care so much what randoms think about your opinion.

Wrong again. I mean from a moral standpoint sure, they’re breaking the rules. A guy taking EPO is going to be drastically superior to the same guy taking DEA, what Machida got banned for. These guys know this. Vitor took someone’s eye out from being juiced to the nines so it’s obvious that the danger is real. I guess Dillashaw wasn’t happy ruining just one guys career
I'm not wrong again. Cheating is cheating. You can spin it however you want but at the end of the day, you're a cheater.

I'm gonna sidestep the GOAT discussion but bro TJ is fuckin sick. It's crazy that he evolved into such a slick kickboxer when he was originally just a wrestler. His striking training was cool because it took place in USA MMA gyms

I can’t agree for 3 letters

Had Cody not called out the epo use years before I could have a different opinion. I say it is safe to say that wasnt his first time. That or Cody is a time traveler. Admittedly Cody’s chin has sent him to a different realm quite a few times but it didn’t send him into the future. If anything it’s stopped his time and he’s in the past.

All in all his ability to fight at such a fast pace is probably one of, if not the most important skill he had. I think it disqualifies him from that top accolade.

Dude was an absolute savage tho. Also appears to be a shit person. Which might make it even easier to ignore him as he fades away from being a contender and mma altogether.

Glorified gatekeeper is crazy lol. He was drained against Cejudo, past his prime against Alga (also one arm <45>) and the Cruz fight was pretty close. I personally scored it for TJ. Could have gone either way. I agree Dodson loss wasn't the best but he was so young back then and it was his debut.

Also lol at wasn't that impressive. Did you watch his fights against Barao and Soto?
Here’s the thing tho, I don’t know if there’s enough shit he could ever pump his body with to beat a peak non damaged prime Cruz. Now that dude was special. Too bad he had shit ligaments and tendons.

he was skilled but a huge part of his skillset and winning was him outlasting people in high output fights. And that was a direct result of being on EPO. He was called out for EPO specifically over a year before he popped. And was called out for other PEDs prior.

His whole career is a sham.

Cruz has to be ranked above all the Sacramento imps

…Yes… but you don’t care about cheating. Do you even know what side you’re arguing for? You’re barely even lucid mate, I’d log off for a day.

You're the worst person I've seen post today and it will be the last time I see your posts. Bye little boy

If you think a fence grab is equivalent to taking a shit load of EPO then I'm sorry but you are retarded.

The fact that you thought I was comparing in-ring cheating to taking different PEDs shows me you're the retarded one

Merab, Aldo and Yan beat him IMO

With no injury he maybe beats Aljo

Grappling wise TJ did get back up fairly easily against Cruz and Dom's takedowns are arguably better timed than anyone around today.

Agree or disagree?

Extremely well rounded. High level striking and wrestling. Great TDD and sub defense. Great fight IQ. No holes. His performance in the first Barao fight might be the greatest title fight performance ever. Also his early performances like against Tamura and Viana underrated. Soto, Cruz (arguably won), Lineker (he schooled Lineker), 2 Garbrandt fights. Amazing performances. He always showed up. Even his performance against Sandhagen. With one leg and one eye, he still managed to win. Got that dog in him.

Unfortunately he cheated, took EPO because he was drained and couldn't train at all and he was past his prime and he had one arm against Aljo but there's no denying his talent. I also think he would beat Cejudo at BW.

His evolution is also something to behold. In just 6 fights (Dodson to Barao 1) he went from being a grappler to a high level kickboxer. I have no idea how he evolved so quickly and looked like that. My mind was blown watching his footwork in the Barao fight. Insanely talented.

One of the most aesthetically pleasing fighters. TJ will always be one of my favorite BWs.
