TJ Dillashaw is the best bantamweight ever (skillwise)

In terms of skill, it’s Cruz.
In terms of accomplishments, it’s Cruz.
Nah. No version of Cruz beats the Cody that made him look silly, or the Cejudo who stopped him.

The best 135er ever is either Cejudo or Aljo, and we'll find out soon who it is. I got CCC. Everything Cruz or Dillashaw can do, Cejudo does better and he proved it by mollywhopping the shit out of both of them. If Aljo proves to be better, it will be because of the size difference, not due to skill. CCC is one of the most skilled fighters that has ever lived.

In terms of accomplishments, I agree. But I definitely don't think Cruz is the most skilled.

I have the BW GOAT title vacant. It was never really proven who the best was and the same guys fought only each other for much of the divisions history over and over.

I do not think it was TJ.

Just give it to Sterling if he beats Henry.

Cody claimed TJ was into steroids and TJ popped.
I really do think that should take TJ out of the discussion.
As it's common knowledge that steroids increase training time and lets you train more hours so it does help you get more skilled... it's not just a physical boost it also lets you push harder and recover faster.

Cruz is clearly the best we've seen but I don't think it's by much. His reign was pretty short lived with his biggest wins being TJ, Faber, Joe-B and a very green MM.
If Aljo defends a couple times I think he should be in talks of greatest BW's ever.

I think Cruz is better. Came back from like a 3 year layoff, had a single tune up fight and then beat TJ in a competitive but comfortable fashion.

This issue for Cruz is he's at more of a stylistic disadvantage against some of the new generation than TJ is, Dillashaw matches up better with most of the top 135ers today.

His performances versus Barao and Garbrandt were some of the most amazing displays I've seen in the octagon. It's been years, but I recall him putting Barao away with something like a 7 strike combination. Just vicious.

His evolution is also something to behold. In just 6 fights (Dodson to Barao 1) he went from being a grappler to a high level kickboxer. I have no idea how he evolved so quickly and looked like that.

I know how he did it lol.

You're right, I'm crazy.

I consider a cheaty cheaterton better than all those fighters I listed. I didn't post my opinion for your approval though. I don't really care who agrees or doesn't. TJ is universally hated. I am sure my opinion is highly unpopular and truly, from the bottom of my heart, couldn't care less.

Yeah he was pretty clearly one of the best bantamweights in the sport. But you also have to acknowledge that most of his accomplishments are null and void since he is one of the most egregious cheaters in the sport. It was rather karmic watching aljo prison rape him while he was helpless with one arm.

I don’t think he was the best ever, Cruz managed to beat him despite a string of injuries and inactivity when he was at his peak. That being said, his shifting stance and the traps he used in the striking game were amazing to watch.

He definitely shined under Duane Ludwig… imagine if Duane had been training him from an earlier age…

Cejudo has like 2 BW fights in his whole career that aren’t against no-names. 3 if you count Dustin Kimura. It would take an absolute shitload of BW fights and wins for Cejudo to be deemed the best BW ever.

In terms of accomplishent will be Aljo after he beats Cejudo.
In terms of accomplishments?? Dude, Aljo has 2 BW title defenses. Beating Cejudo will make 3. Cruz had 4 in his first reign, and a 2nd reign with 1 defense. He’s got 7 total title fight wins. In terms of accomplishments, Aljo has some work to do to surpass Cruz.

I do agree that TJ beating Barao was insane, I thought for sure Barao would run thru him, I also think that TJ should of gotten an auto rematch vs Dom that fight didn't have a clear winner, but in terms of 135 goat, I have Dom slightly above TJ since he won head to head and the fact that he came back after all them knee injuries impressed me, Aljo isn't quite there yet, his reign hasn't been that impressive, he won the belt via DQ, had a very very close rematch with Yan and beat TJ who had 1 arm....imo the 135 division doesn't have a clear cut GOAT like the others

Cheating is cheating. You're either cheating or you're not. There are no "levels" to cheating.

Someone who took EPO is no worse than someone who takes tren or anything else.

My worst nightmare. Fluke master.
His win streak gonna be:
Old man killer Cory
Almost dying against Yan and first person to win a belt by DQ
Barely beat no corner Yan and you can still argue that
1 armed 36 yr old TJ
3 years off, 36 yr old Cejudo
What a resume.

Also Merab is better than him and he refuses to fight Alga.

I love Sterling because of this reason bro hahahahaha. Hilarious stuff.

Well why even post at all if you don’t care what people reading think? Just say it to yourself in your own head… would spare us all from reading that drivel for one

Wrong again. I mean from a moral standpoint sure, they’re breaking the rules. A guy taking EPO is going to be drastically superior to the same guy taking DEA, what Machida got banned for. These guys know this. Vitor took someone’s eye out from being juiced to the nines so it’s obvious that the danger is real. I guess Dillashaw wasn’t happy ruining just one guys career
