Even better if Curtis/Sergei is on the same card as Stipe vs Jones/Gane winner so the winners align better time frame-wise.
Curtis may feel antsy since he hasn't fought since July so he may not wait that long.

He got an instant rematch with DC by waiting so not crazy to think he'd get another title shot. Pretty sure Jones said he wants to fight Stipe after he beats Gane.

Yeah I'd rather fight geriatric Stipe too rather than the young killers.
Jon doesn't deserve to be dictating any stipulations sir.

He doesn't even deserve the title shot he's getting for that matter.
 
I would have thought he already had a title shot.
 
He said something to the effect of how he was just fine winning against lesser guys and getting paid. Don't know if that had any affect on anything.
 
Blaydes is a good dude and deserves to fight for the belt. Sadly, his style and speaking out against Uncle Goof and the company are going to hurt him. Ultimate Circus gonna Ultimate Circus.
 
Stipe needs to fight someone else before he gets another title shot. He already got an immediate title shot against Cormier and he shouldn't get another one until he fights someone else. Let him fiht someone like Spivak or the loser of Gane/Jones. The next title shot should be the winner of Blaydes/Sergai after the Jones/Gane fight

Don't think there's anything new here.

While the division has languished, Blaydes - a perennial top 10 that has beaten lots of other top 10's in the last 6+ years - is one of the ones who has suffered.

Gane v Jones. After that it is a 3 way race between the others in the top 5. No matter how it shakes out, someone (and a majority of fans) will be disappointed.

Frankly it should be Pavlovich v Blaydes for the #1 contender spot. But we all know UFC doesn't work on merit alone. So, Stipe will probably get the next shot and guys a little lower will all get their career paths disrupted more.

Yes fuckos, in no uncertain terms I just said that guys who have multiple wins in the last few years should be considered more than a guy who's 2-2 in his last 4 fights between 2018-2021. I also don't blame Stipe for negotiating for himself as best he can. Such is the paradox of being a fight fan.

Blaydes deserves a title shot but he’s not flashy and doesn’t have a big fan base. He’s a super tough fight for everyone, though and probably the most ducked heavyweight besides Ngannou before he got the belt. Wiith Francis gone, he’s probably the uncrowned champ but the UFC doesn’t want a guy who got KOd 2x by Ngannou as their champion.

Yea I was thinking this morning that I would rather see Jones vs Blaydes and Gane vs Pav with the winners fighting for the title.

I think Blaydes has already probably done enough to really deserve it at this point but his defeats to the recently lost lineal title holder hurt his chances.

Imo the best way they can move forward is announce Pavlovich as next for the winner of Gane vs Jones
Miocic vs Blaydes winner gets the title shot
Aspinall vs Spivak next in line
Volkov is fighting Romanov
Tuivasa vs Rozenstruik
Tybura vs Almeida
Lewis vs winner of De Lima and Cortes
Daukus vs Ivanov winner vs Arlovski

The next year or 2 could be great for us fans
 
This whole who’s next discussion is a moot point. Pavlovik is coming. And he’s staying for a looooong time.

There's never been a fighter more deserving of an immediate title shot when moving up, my dude.
 
While may be true, he wont sell tickets. I've been to 2 cards live with him on it and crowds boo, and for good reason. He is boring, but effective and I'm a jiu jitsu guy so I'm more tolerant to ground game than most and enjoy it. Only fight I've been to live last time I saw him, I got up mid fight and got a beer and took a piss. That sums up a Curtis Blades fight in a nutshell. That being said, he is very effective and that's what a combat sport is all about. So I see both sides of the coin on this one.

Idk... we definitely don't agree here, I don't see a guy sitting out for three years as deserving as guys that have been grinding sir.
