News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

I'm a bit late to the party but I've been going down this wormhole the last two days and I've seen a ton of people commenting that this story is "obviously bs" or something like that.

What's the big conspiracy theory here?

Stanley Kubrick faked the entire Titanic voyage.

A big distraction from the hunter Biden thing

Or the billionaires wanted new lives and this is a way to start over

Or some other dumb shit

You'd have to ask the CIA there, it was a metal casket because of radiation.

The water at that depth is nearly freezing, which preserves tissue and slows scavengers.

Yes, a bacteria that eats iron essentially. Not the same stuff that causes decomposition. Salt water doesn't corrode a human body in less than two weeks. Otherwise we'd never find dead bodies in the ocean essentially.

Exteme pressure is irrelevant here as internal and external pressure would have equalized. You aren't gonna find squished corpses at depth, to put it bluntly

If the pressure equalized slowly you might not have squished bodies but the hull would have collapsed in an instant, squeezing all of the bodies together at close to 6,000 psi.

My theory is that those people are government plants pretending to be retarded to distract us from the real issues, like how satanist reptilians faked the moon landing.

That part yes, I mean more after the fact with the remains at that point.

There was someone here saying it was fake and never happened. It was a coverup to get the Hunter story out of the news. They said this after they found the wreckage and said they wouldn’t salvage it or release pics of the wreck cause there was nothing there.

I don't know what the goal of the conspiracy would be, other than ratings for the "news" corporations, who wanted a big dramatic story with a countdown.

The Navy knew it imploded on the day it happened. Others did too. Why they let this drama play out, and tease the families with false hope? Who knows? The Biden distraction theory is a bridge too far for me. It was a random event that would've gotten huge coverage no matter what, and they only had four days to work with it, before the truth would come out. I don't see some big effort to use it to distract from Hunter Biden's guilty pleas.

It is curious though, as to why they didn't pop the bubble, and why they waited until the very end of the 96 hour window, to announce that the fuckin' thing imploded on the day they went down there. It was like they were waiting for all hope to subside, before announcing they were long dead.

The navy wasn’t 100% on it and remember, it wasn’t reported missing for another 6 or so hours after they lost contact.
How fucked up would it be if they announced it imploded on Monday and called off a search and rescue op only to have the sun wash up on a beach with 5 dead bodies in it a couple months from now.

OceanGate took down their website immediately but it's archived.

The "Our Subs" page...

https://web.archive.org/web/20230621195319/https://www.oceangate.com/our-subs.html

"Titan is a revolutionary carbon fiber and titanium submersible with a depth range of 4,000 meters that provides access to almost 50% of the world's oceans. Titan ushers in a new era of crewed submersible exploration and is the only sub in the world that can take five crewmembers to these depths."

Yep it ushered in a new era all right.

The Titan's own special page...

https://web.archive.org/web/20230621200703/https://oceangate.com/our-subs/titan-submersible.html

"Through the innovative use of modern materials, Titan is lighter in weight and more cost efficient to mobilize than any other deep diving submersible. A combination of ground-breaking engineering and off-the-shelf technology gives Titan a unique advantage over other deep diving subs; the proprietary Real Time Hull Health Monitoring (RTM) systems provides an unparalleled safety feature that assesses the integrity of the hull throughout every dive. The use off-the-shelf components helped to streamline the construction, and makes it simple to operate and replace parts in the field."

Groundbreaking off the shelf technology. Awesome...

"The most significant innovation is the proprietary real-time hull health monitoring (RTM) system. Titan is the only manned submersible to employ an integrated real-time health monitoring system. Utilizing co-located acoustic sensors and strain gauges throughout the pressure boundary, the RTM system makes it possible to analyze the effects of changing pressure on the vessel as the submersible dives deeper, and accurately assess the integrity of the structure. This onboard health analysis monitoring system provides early warning detection for the pilot with enough time to arrest the descent and safely return to surface."

Yeah you tell em Stockton.

I'll give 'em a day. They knew after that. I also made a similar argument for it not being confirmed, but these boys aren't that stupid. They know what an implosion looks like on their sonar, which is why most in that small community of divers had already poured one out for their fallen comrades. I mean, if James Cameron knew(who, while an expert, doesn't have the same sort of clearance the Nazy boys who were telling him it was already over, do), they knew. Why they waited, I don't know. These guys don't deal in hoping for miracles, if everything is pointing to disaster.

James Cameron didn’t say anything til after they found the wreckage. Why didn’t he speak sooner? He also said he was hoping agains hope that it didn’t implode. No one was 100% and going to make that call is all I’m saying. 99.999…% certain? Probably.

Well, there was an unconfirmed post by him on the second day of the search, wondering why they were wasting their time. Given the events that unfolded, I'm willing to believe it was him. In fact, he's been the only person to really question how the reporting was handled, given that most in that community already knew. He himself, might've held out some hope, but the people feeding him that info? They knew. He didn't get that info from some Twitter post.

Well it wasn’t really much of a rescue effort. They weren’t rushing any submersibles to the site that would be able to retrieve the sub if it were somehow intact. They were flying over the area to check if it somehow surfaced.

it was more the media running with the story with how much air is left if it didn’t implode. It was easy reporting and got eyes on the screen. The ghoulish fucks even had a countdown clock.

There's not someone constantly monitoring listening arrays. You have to comb through a huge quantity of data, then navigate multiple layers of government and different agencies to get that info released. It takes a huge amount of time, especially since there was probably a debate of whether or not revealing the info would compromise security, etc.. SOSUS and the like aren't really optimized for real time search and rescue.

However there were two releases to the public of "ooooh I can hear them banging on the inside of the sub down there" with an audio clip and basically no mention of the actual obvious implosion of the sub until the 96 hours of imaginary oxygen were gone.
