News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

a Discovery channel guy Josh Gates went on a 2021 dive in the Titan and he says (below in italics) :

“In the course though of going out on Titan, and diving down inside of it, it just became clear to us at that time that there was a alot that needed to be worked out with the sub,” Gates said. "A lot of the systems worked but a lot of them really didn’t. We had issues with thrusters and issues with computer control and things like that. Ultimately, it was a challenging dive."
Gates explained that in 2021 he learned there were four ways for the vessel to shed weight and bring it back up to the surface in the case of an emergency.
There is a computer-controlled weight release, a manual-valve system that injects air into exterior ballast containers, a hydraulic system to drop weights and an ability to detach from the sled attached to the submersible and help move the vessel back to the surface.

So that has some details on the FOUR methods of losing weight off the sub and rising back to the surface.
So....why is it that all four failed? or were not activated? sudden crew incapacitation? mechanical failure? hydraulic failure? Obviously if there was a sudden hull failure they're all instantly killed but.... if the "banging noises" IS the crew banging on the hull....what happened to the 4 systems to drop weights and rise back to the surface?? Genius Stockton Rush fails again it would seem.....

So there's a sub in US waters and the government/military can't find it?

Once again, China must be laughing their asses off and parking their subs off the coast of everywhere.

Chinas subs aren’t even close to that deep, from what I’ve read they don’t go deeper than 3000 feet. Add 9000 feet to that number and you can see how it might not be so easy.

I think they are down to 8 or 9 hours at this point.
If they can't find this thing Thursday, it will be blessing if they find the wreckage and determine that thing imploded rather than lost power and sank. At least then their deaths would have been quick.
