News Titanic Tours Submersible missing in atlantic ocean

I thought it was decided to keep the exact point where the Titanic is sitting a secret to keep people from going on such trips.

When was that lifted?

You can hardly read that blue font sir.

I have no problem reading it and I'm old. If you have a problem reading it, you can highlight it and change the color or change the size or both. I put my responses in color so they don't get lost between the added quotes.

You know what I mean. Like floating bits of flesh and shit.

<LikeReally5>

I think scavengers of the sea would gobble those up...plus with the ocean currents, whatever remains that floats would surface at a further distance

I’m not gonna struggle to try and read what you wrote. I’m sure I’m not missing anything

God bless Russia and God bless Fuhrer Putin.

Best to ever do it.

Shoddy, non-Russian equipment/crew/expertise never stood a chance.

To be fair, their Typhoon class submarines were basically the best of the best. War politics aside

How would that work? Once someone knew where it was then how do you put that genie back in the bottle?

It's funny how normies view The Daily Mail. esp to those who actually look for news blindspots. if you know you know.

OceanGate's statement (just released) :

"We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost.

"These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans.

"Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.

"This is an extremely sad time for our dedicated employees who are exhausted and grieving deeply over this loss.

"The entire OceanGate family is deeply grateful for the countless men and women from multiple organizations of the international community who expedited wide-ranging resources and have worked so very hard on this mission.

"We appreciate their commitment to finding these five explorers, and their days and nights of tireless work in support of our crew and their families.

"This is a very sad time for the entire explorer community, and for each of the family members of those lost at sea.

"We respectfully ask that the privacy of these families be respected during this most painful time."

As my boy Anthony Jeselnick (same birthday as me 12/22/1978) would say, it's never too soon. People die all the time. We're all gonna die someday. At least they died doing what they love. Or maybe with the 19 year old, he kinda was pushed into going. The sad thing is they probably didn't get to see the wreck. They are now part of the Circle of Life... The part where fish/marine life eat the remains of your corpse.

Imagine now being part of the wreck you didn’t get to see..

Live U.S. Coast Guard news conference :

cliffs :
- Debris found confirmed to be from the Titan sub
- Consistent with catastrophic failure of the sub.
- ROV's still searching for more debris.
- so far found 5 different major pieces of debris
- found front titanium dome [as I had thought it would be found, titanium alloy)
- found a 2nd smaller debris field, in which they found the aft end-bell (titanium)
- U.S. coast Guard says they are continuing to search for more debris
- U.S.C.G. Rear Admiral Mauger says sub did not collide with Titanic, as the debris was found 1600ft from the bow of the Titanic wreck.
- Seafloor is smooth and clear where the debris was found, & there's no titanic debris in that area.
- Debris is consistent with an implosion in the water column above.
- too early to tell about the timing of the implosion.
- They're continuing to investigate the size of the debris field with the R.O.V's they're using.
- 9 vessels on the scene right now
- R.O.V operations on the sea-floor will continue
- 'Banging noises' from last 2 days, doesn't appear to be any connection with the debris seafloor area.
- The implosion would have generated a significant sounds that sonar buoys would have picked up, [ this implies that the implosion happened on SUNDAY before the sonar buoys were deployed, so likely it imploded Sunday, maybe at 1h45mins in.]
- Using Pelagic Research Services R.O.V. with camera, sonar, etc, in the dsearch of the seafloor, huge effort to get everything on-site in the available timeframe.
- thoughts with the families of the 5 deceased men.

End of press conference.

my comments:
No info on whether they are going to attempt to bring up any of the debris.
There'll be nothing left of the bodies at all. May or may not be any bones, organic matter is completely pulped at 2.5tons per square inch water pressure.

Implosion in water column (likely did not collide with Titanic).

I expect that the families of all involved will want the bodies to remain on the sea floor.
