explainDon't know why so many people think Gorillas would be good in a scrap with any animal. Overrated, just like hyenas are.
Full grown grizzly would fuck a tiger up.
Grizzly vs Bengal.
Amazing fight caught on video. I did some Eddie Bravo style deep research and found this.
Tiger 10-9 by lay and pray. Tiger needs to work on his cardio though.
Sloth Bear haha, they are only vegetarians and insect eaters.
Bears are very different, so the Tiger vs Bear arguments are stupid because it depends what species of Bear.
Adult Tiger would kill a Koala Bear, Panda Bear and a lot of Black Bears.
Polar Bear kills Tiger easily, would rip it to shreds with ease.
Grizzly Bear and Tiger would be a good fight but Grizzly would come out on top most of the time.
Kodiak Bear kills Tiger after decent scrap.
I just base that on the 1840's, 1850's, 1860's circus shows they used to do where they had Lions, Tigers, Panthers, Leopards, Grizzly Bears, Polar Bears and Black Bears and made them all fight. Polar Bear fucked everyone else up pretty badly, and Grizzly was dominant too but had some close good fights with Tiger.
I've been saying for years that 1v1 Vs a gorilla I could do okay as long as I can get the fight to the ground.
explain
People go on about gorillas just because they seem like an incredibly strong human being, so therefore they must be real bad-arses. Has anyone ever seen them fight any other animal? Are there accounts from the past of them beating the crap out of other animals? Just being strong means nothing.
Like i've said before, hyenas are slow, inflexible, and crap at fighting. They instantly flip on their back when a fighting situation arises. I think people are blinded by their amazing jaw strength.
they have to deal with leopardsGorillas have no street cred in the animal kingdom..
a silverback might survive against some of the smaller species of tiger or bear due to its power & strength, grappling and bite but i agree factor like size, skin, etc are not in the gorilla favor against larger animalsAt least not on the level of tigers and bears. Tigers and bears both take down large prey, and generally put the fear of God into anything that tries to mess with them. Gorillas are more like guard dogs. They do a lot of posturing and show of force, but rarely actually scrap. Then when you factor in the size discrepancy, the weapons, etc...it's just hard to envision a scenario where a gorilla does sever damage to a grizzly.
what they lack in grappling they make up in toughnessLike i've said before, hyenas are slow, inflexible, and crap at fighting. They instantly flip on their back when a fighting situation arises. I think people are blinded by their amazing jaw strength.
Cats are frontrunners. They look like worldbeaters until they get dragged into an actual dogfight and then they back out because they don't want to suffer hunt-impairing injuries.
That bear looked like it suffered a pretty nasty wound to it's chest though.
