Sloth Bear chases off a Tiger following intense encounter

We see tiger versus bear arguments here often, this is a good depiction of an actual fight. Note the tiger completely sunk it's teeth into the bear's neck and stil couldn't pierce its thick hide. The bear was able to chase it off and it was only a sloth bear. I have seen people here say tigers can even kill grizzlies if they clamp onto their necks.

Cats are frontrunners. They look like worldbeaters until they get dragged into an actual dogfight and then they back out because they don't want to suffer hunt-impairing injuries.

That bear looked like it suffered a pretty nasty wound to it's chest though.

If the Tiger continued it probably would have killed it but the problem that bears present is the fact that they can fight from their back with great efficiency. A Tiger wouldn't stand much of a chance against a grizzly and if that's what happens with a sloth bear I would be seriously interested to see how a black bear would fair against a tiger. They are like the pitbulls of the bear world.

No big cat would stand a chance against a fully grown brown bear. Btw that video of the young grizzly fighting the tiger is horrible. They should've put those animal handlers in that enclosure with both animals.
