That was a large male Bengal Tiger going after a small female and a yearly cub. Tigers will go for weak bears or cubs. A prolonged fight will always benefit the Bear.

This was a really interesting watch. At no point was this tiger concerned about what either bear could do and really wasn't concerned whether or not he made the kill. It looked to be for the sport of it and less about food. He was a little gassed at the end but it didn't matter. That's an experienced male who never showed a sense of urgency or finality, simply fucked with the bears because he could and gave no fucks.

I don't think the tiger was going all out either. It was like a heavy sparring session for him. If he really wanted to kill that bear I think he could have. Props to the sloth bear for hanging in there anyways.
