Speaking of shipping, how about Walker and Ghost.

I remember that Black Mirror, didn't realize that was the Ghost Actress.

When Val looked at Red Guardian and asked who is this old Santa, I think it was also a reference to David Harbour's Santa Claus role in Violent Night.

I like how he emphatically says he’s The Red Guardian after giving his actual name as though that will elucidate things for her.

Really glad to see JLD in this movie. She’s a very versatile actress who thankfully emerged from that post-Sein association where the justifiable success and love for that series made it difficult for any of the principals to establish themselves in another signature series or film. I liked the contrast between her extreme confidence when dealing with Wendell and the congress vs. her actual paranoia and anxiety.

Wyatt Russell had some really good/funny line deliveries. When Pugh says “you’re not my target!” The way he casually says “you’re mine” is perfect.

Also the “state high school football champs back to back to back” haha.

Did RG not have a shield? I’m waiting for streaming on this one.

Walker could be such a good character, but I just was so mad at how they wanted him on FATWS.

He’s a three time congressional Medal of Honor winner. He should be a tactical badass.

Red Guardian doesn't have a shield in the MCU.

If you hold John Walker from the comic books in such high regard, you probably won't like him in Thunderbolts. If it's any consolation, the audience overwhelmingly loved Walker. He's now a fan-favorite despite not being a faithful adaptation from the comic books.

When Bucky revealed to the group that Walker's wife left him and took their son and then Yelena looked at him, I loved that subtle nod Walker gave back to Yelena. It was like, "Yeah, it's true. I lied. It is what it is." Throughout the first half of the movie, Walker was bragging that he is nothing like the others who he labeled as loser mercenaries and that he has a great life with a wife and kid waiting for him at home. In the end, he was just like his new comrades - broken, alone and down on their luck.

He’s already had a lot of success. I think he definitely deserves it and look forward to seeing him in more roles. First time I remember seeing him in a movie was 22 Jump Street. Quite hilarious sequel to a funny movie.

Pretty crazy how he and Pullman both aren’t dead ringers for their dads but definitely resemble them. It was pretty striking in some moments in the film.

Dragon, what do you think? Favorite MCU film since Infinity War? No Way Home, Guardians 3, Deadpool vs. Wolverine, Eternals, and Shang Chi were all appealing to me but I think the best post-endgame for me would probably be between NWH, Guardians, and New Avengers.

For me, Wyatt resembles his father, like 75% of the time. He even sounds the same as his father. With Lewis, I can see glimpses of his father but it's not really overwhelmingly striking their similarities.

We both have the same top 3 MCU films post Endgame. I would rate No Way Home higher than Thunderbolts. I'm still on the fence about if it overtakes Deadpool & Wolverine and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. (Btw, the official movie title is still Thunderbolts. The New Avengers title is just a marketing gimmick they cooked up a long time ago, hence the asterisk.)

Makes sense lol. Wasn’t sure if the theaters were still calling it Thunderbolts or not but makes sense they didn’t outright change it. Confusion undoubtedly would have ensued.

Had no idea it was his son!

She's a very good actress, but IMHO Marvel should have brought in their own version of Dark Reign Norman Osborn to run the Thunderbolts. Stormin' Norman is a much more dangerous and scary Big Bad than Valentina. Norman's own history of severe mental health issues allows him to effortlessly seduce and control the Sentry. Even Doom himself has to walk carefully around Osborn during that story arc.
