The acting is good but there are a few parts of the scene that aren't. The choice of the director to shake the camera in order to show the intensity of the situation is almost always a bad choice in any movie. To me it shows a lack of creativity because it's been so over used. The worst part of this is, that it doesn't do what is intended to do. It doesn't show intensity, because you can't actually tell what is going on when the camera is shaking so much. I vote 7/10. Yes I took three points off just for the camera shaking.

I don't really like Spielberg, so for me it's like

1. Minority Report
2. Saving private Ryan
3. Catch me if you can

Then a bunch of movies that I thought were just okay. I liked hook a lot when I was a kid though.

Wow, that's fascinating thanks. To each their own they say. : - )

Actually just rewatched Minority Report again last year for the first time since it came out. Was expecting to love it but I'm afraid it just didn't stand up for me after all these years. A few cheesy Hollywood-esque scenes totally broke my immersion and kinda ruined it for me. Should've stuck with the dark serious tone throughout and ditched the silly stuff and it would've been a GOAT for me.

Incredible acting, although Samantha Morton is a bit weird and distracting throughout the movie. Movie goes more and more off-beat towards the 3rd act but there are some very cool scenes. Not one of Spielberg's best, IMO.

I really liked the middle scene with Peter Stormare. That really set the tone for the rest of the film.

Was supposed to be a Total Recall Sequal originally . . .

I only saw it once when it was released so I don't remember a lot of the scenes in the movie

Most underrated Cruise and Spielberg movie imo.

Holds good review #s now, but was generally pretty overlooked for the first 10 years after release. Becoming more popular the older it gets.
