Didn't this win your best movie thread?

Either way a classic, 10/10. Brilliant action, brilliant storyline, brilliant fx at the time and the new terminator T1000 was brilliantly imagined and executed. So many classic scenes too many to mention. Some great Arnold one liners. The story was so true to the original and clever the way everything made sense and fits properly. (Like the way Sarah Connor is in a nuthouse as no one believes her, meanwhile the terminator arm is at the high security research lab being studied and reverse engineered.)

Great also having the other original characters/actors back. I don't like sequels where they just replace certain people to save money. Linda Hamilton got into terrific shape for it. Whole cast was great. Robert Patrick and Edward Furlong were superb.

I have it on Blu Ray and watch the longest version on that which is great. Love all the deleted scenes. (They definitely should have included the Reese dream scene imo)

Could talk about how great this movie is all day. I'm a bit confused that people keep mentioning later sequels though? There aren't any. There is only The Terminator and Terminator 2 Jusgement Day!

You think sending a Terminator back to protect JC (heh I just got that!!!!), who looked exactly like the one who was sent to kill his mother a few years earlier, who stoop out in public like a sore thumb, and who was wanted as a cop killer, made sense?

I know, I know, cyborgs, time travel and all that, but still…..

Basically the fact this film even exists makes everything in the original pointless, from a logic perspective.

Obviously highly enjoyable, but it is kinda dumb if you think about it.

"I can't, it's a Geo!"

Masterpiece.

My only issue with it is the durability of the tow truck and John not immediately dying with the T1000 rams him whilst he's on a dirt bike.

So I guess, not a masterpiece, but I'm still rating it a masterpiece because it's so good that those details don't drag it down. It's a deep action movie that expands the lore, has heart, and has crazy stunts that aren't too over the top except for the tow truck jumping the bridge and still running.

That scene and it drags a little when they get to the desert for guns. Plus i like Arnold shooting police & bad guys. No survivors. He does the opposite in here.

I enjoyed it slowing down and the conversations, including Arnold explaining the practically of terminating Dyson and Sara realizing she's not a terminator. Arnold being the villain and that police shootout was great but I thought the contrast was perfect.

Did the Simpsons kinda ruin it for anyone else?

Its in the 8 to 9 range for me.

I watched it a few weeks ago and rated it an 8 which is the lowest ive ever rated it.

Ok list 10 action movies that are better?

If you can’t, then that means your scoring criteria are too harsh..

I been watching the classic early seasons the past few days on reruns, right around season 4 is when it really got all time legendary great imo, so many hilarious amazing shows one after another after another

Ive noticed more drawbacks in t2 than t1. For one, the fuckin hard on Cameron has for blue lighting kills me. When you see it in every movie he makes, i mean, look what he's doing now, its distracting.

2nd there's almost no horror. I'm biased here though, but it helps call for the sequel.

3rd, lots of slow parts, which is odd to say for the movie, however, it's true.

Actually curious on this argument..

I LOVED the blue lighting filter for this movie, it worked and it looked great. ‘Heat’ did the same thing actually, interesting as both films are set in Los Angeles.
