Thomas the Train

Proper Thomas, complete with Ringo fucking Starr on vocals:

They need to go full inception and release Thomas the Tank with his sidekick Abbot.

Anybody else's kids here obsess with Thomas. My boy is almost three and I bought around $200 worth of trains, play set, tents all within the year. He watches nothing else on TV except Thomas. Think I may have a problem or it's a kids phase

Don't worry he'll move on to something else. Eventually he'll be pissed you didn't get him a PS5 on release date and that his iPhone isn't white.

My kids went through a phase with this show and the suite of toys and other merch that goes along with it. Big wake up call with respect to helping them form ideas and values about consumerism and materialism. We indulged the mania a bit with Thomas, not so much with their other fad of the day stuff.

Hasn't Thomas been around forever? I remember watching that damn engine over 25 years ago when I was four.

Thomas was expensive as funk. SO was that big-headed La La Loopsie creepy ass doll.

Barbie isn't the cheapest in the world to get either. I had to work some overtime to afford all that crap.

I swear, when I was a kid, my parents told me to go outside and play. I was 5 years old, and would play outside all day, w/ poor people's toys, like a stick and ball, bb gun, jump rope, football, or just ride my bike around the neighborhood.

George Carlin replaced Ringo Starr.

never got into this shit as a kid, but certainly remember it. Surprised it's still relevant now.

It's OK man. My son is 8 now. He got over Thomas between 4 and 5.
Right now he loves Legos and minecraft. You'll miss Thomas. Maybe it's that I miss my boy when he was toddler.

It's just a phase. We have hundreds of trains and train tables upstairs in his room still.

Thomas is very expensive. A little toy car cost me around $20..but I'm glad he's happy and all but man,..

Cool beans bro. Also in addition, he can't seem to be without his red blanket and pacifier

I don't know anything about those types of attachments. My kids never got attached to blankets or ever used pacifiers, not like we didn't give them pacifiers. They just never used them. So I cant really speak on those things. I'm sure you guys can ween him off it though but I really don't know how healthy or unhealthy that is.

My dude is 4, but he's been into Chuggington for a couple of years. He's all over the place though: trains, tractors, rockets, boats.

my oldest got into Thomas at around 18mo. We did the whole trains things but we found out Ikea makes the pretty the same kind of wooden tracks and they are a lot cheaper, so we would just buy one or two of Thomas and Percy and the buy a bunch Ikea tracks that came with generic trains.

My middle son just got into Thomas a few months ago and is in love with Percy, and for my oldest son it's all about Imaginext which I have to admit they make some pretty cool toys and I've been able to pick some pretty good lots of them off craigslist.

Yo thats a pussy pad alright, but I prefer my batman returns batmobile tent.

For real though, I had a short stint with Thomas as a kid. Didnt take me long to get into much more expensive things. Thomas is a gateway drug.

I remember when my cousin was into Thomas the Train. I wanted to find this thing for his birthday:

...but couldn't find anywhere that would ship to the US.

Voltron Thomas? Brings back the nostalgia. Here's hoping my son Thomas gets into Lego's. Although they discontinued the Castle series!
