Anybody else's kids here obsess with Thomas. My boy is almost three and I bought around $200 worth of trains, play set, tents all within the year. He watches nothing else on TV except Thomas. Think I may have a problem or it's a kids phase

Oh, it's a phase, don't you worry. Never when through a Thomas one but we've been through Schleich animals, big-eyed stuffies, Lalaloopsies, and My Little Ponies. And each phase was oh so expensive.

My son was the same way from like 4-6 or so. A lot of little boys love trains.

After Thomas, he moved on to being obsessed with Star Wars, and then Minecraft.

Thomas the train???

you mean Thomas the Tank-engine?

The kids in my family went through their Thomas phase and I worked as a teachers assistant while in college and kids still love him. Which is cool because it's been around forever.(Remember George Carlin,Ringo Starr and Alec Baldwin as "Mr Conductor"?) Sccoby-Doo is also a character that keeps on being a favorite with them.

My son's turning 11 months on the 6th, but he is obsessed w/ Peppa the Pig. No matter what is happening, if an episode is on, he turns into a couch potato. I figure, all you have to do is give a boy some sticks and they can entertain themselves anyways

Base on the responses here, I guess I'm somewhat ok for now

I know that feel. On the bright side of my son turning into a couch potato, I can get shit done around the house for a half hour

Don't have a kid but I do have a 4 year old sister who's obsessed with Frozen and pretty much in a similar situation as your son. When I was 2-5 I went through a barney phase. It passes, and it's also doesn't hurt that he enjoys somehing uplifting and educational like tomas.

Thomas the train is a can.

I have 3 daughters so it's Sophia the first and Frozen all day errrrday.

Yard-sales bro. As quick as kids change fads, you can always find what yours is interested in.

My bro was into Thomas the tank-engine as a child, there really was only the one toy, it was all comics and story books. They're a lot cheaper. Fuck the plastic. Read to em.

That said. I got two kids being born in a month, my first and I know that stance will last as long as it takes for them to start watching ads and bugging me. :)

My daughter who is 21 months loves that show too. That and yo gabba gabba.

My two and a half year son watched it for the first time yesterday. He didnt really care for it, which is nice because its super boring. But his big thing that hes into is Cars , so I've seen the movies and specials more times than i can count

Thomas the train???

"2 and 4 and 6 and 8, shunting trains and hauling freight...."

Awful stuff. Why the weird faces on the trains and why do my kids love them?

His name was changed. I was upset. He's not a train, he's an engine. Let's not mislead our kids.

And Thomas & Friends is a really common phase. My godson is all about Thomas and has been for some time (he's 2).
