Shaq vs Rumble at 265 lbs. Make it happen.
Rumble would probably miss weight....

Shaq in his athletic prime would wreck any UFC HW with a year of training, tops. UFC athletes are a joke, the plumbers and landscapers of the UFC can't hold a candle to A level NFL/NBA athletes. You know, real athletes.
Educate yourself, UFC fan. The UFC is filled with C and D level athletes, many of whom picked up MMA as a hobby and went on to have lots of success and fight in the premiere MMA promotion with minimal experience. An elite A level athlete would embarrass an MMA fighter if they decided to get into MMA. MMA is the Rocky V of sports.
Looks like it's all Sir Charles when shit gets real.

Where would I educate myself on the different grade levels of athletes? Is there a book written by a famous coach or is there a noted sports commentator who describes this concept in detail?
This kind of talk assumes a complete fungibility of athletic prowess. While in the abstract this may be true, in most sports it takes years to attain the level of specialization required to compete on the highest levels.
Had LeBron James wrestled in high school and gone into MMA, he has the physical tools to have been amongst the best. Of course, then some thoughtless poster on Sherdog would unfavorably compare him to NBA athletes.
Lesnar is the closest MMA has come to seeing an A level athlete and he became champion with like 3 fights to his name. Lol.
because dana white catapulted him there. if he had to fight contenders like everyone else, there's no guarantee that he would have fought for the title. hell, he should have lost to carwin. that fight should have been stopped in the first.

didnt shaq get beat up by john stockton?
People that really believe this shit have such a distorted view of reality... it's as though they see a different, bizarro universe. There is a lot more to fighting than size, physiology and/or athleticism for fucks sake.
