I didn't read any of the original post, but if Alex doesn't want to fight again until 2026, Ank should fight whoever he wants in the meantime. That's a no brainer.

But he won one of this fights that the refs could gift to the champ.
So obviously Alex, besides stardom and saving a couple cards, deserves the rematch because of the above + having 3 defenses.

Nobody cares about Ank so there's no stopping one of the few stars getting an instant rematch. UFC pretended it was a sport for a few years while they made the sale and that was nice but those days are long gone. Just enjoy the entertainment or it's gonna be disappointment from here on out.

The first fight was less then 4 months ago. Why has Ankalaev only fought 3 times in 2 years? He's the young guy. Maybe if he had 5 title fights in a year and a half, he'd need a break too.

I'd be happy for one win over a top contender, but absolutely against instant rematches.

Just put together fights. If a fighter is offered a fight & can't or won't, then it's on to the next one. Pereira is still in the title mix & definitely deserves a rematch after his many defenses & dominating, but I'm tired of divisions being held up by fighters waiting on certain guys. Line them up & knock them down like they did back in the day. The sport got to where it is today based off that simple method. Make the UFC great again.
