Thin/lean/skinny fighters that are strong AF

Jones is actually pretty ripped and he cheats all the damn time. Not a good example

Robbie Lawler.

I have heard many years ago when he was in his 20's (not sure about how he does now), but he would rep 350 on the bench for sets.

DC, who has wrestled Olympians, said he was shocked by how strong Jonny Bones is.

I wonder what is is about Jonny Bones that makes him so surprisingly strong even to someone who has wrestled Olympians.

Mark Kerr recommended drinking a lot of milk to him?

Jones is only strong because he takes steroids.

Silva is pretty strong for his size.

BJ was pretty strong with TDD, and was grappling with Machida in that insanely mismatched fight in his prime.

For some reason, I always see Dan Hardy with facial hair when I see this gif >_>

Deontay Wilder. Everybody he fights outweighs him by 20 lbs or more & he overpowers them.

Zabit. Looks like an anorexic drug addict, can toss around musclebound people at ease.

Steroids are not some magic pill that make Captain America out of average Joe
I’m pretty sure if you take steroids and do a mixture of cardio, weights striking and grappling training you will get strong as heck.

Condit
Adesanya
Zabit
Max
Tony

Jones is not exactly skinny
Neither Chiesa

I guess it might be because he’s “skinny fat” — still a form of skinny

The guy squeezes watermelons open — probably strongest guy in his division

Not saying steroids don't help, of course they do. But if you do that without steroids you will also get stronger than you were. Steroids give you faster recovery (so you can workout longer and more often) and some increased muscle growth. If Jon never took steroids he would still be rather strong.

Alex Oliveria: Skinny for his division but is super strong.

Charles Oliveira: Probably outweighed by most LW, but he has thrown around fighters that are known for their strength like Lamas and Miller.

Michael McDonald: Not as much grappling strength, but he had ridiculous fast twitch strikes despite being a lean 135er.

Jones: Despite being a taller lanky guy for 205, he is known to be ridiculously strong.

Who else?
Anderson isnormal

When did squeezing watermelons become a metric of strength? This isn't the fucking circus. Robbie a non wrestler launched him on his head. So tired of this pseudo-bro science BS

Marty is bigger, stronger, and more proven.

wouldn't call that any form of skinny, Askren is pretty bulky

i'll add Cerrone to the list, even at WW he looked fairly skinny compared to his opponents yet we've never seen him get manhandled

Tbh weight division system make that lean af fighters are usually much taller (wich give leverage) and on general bigger men than theyr more muscular opponents

So many times it's not about two men of same size and the less muscular is stronger (it happen) but weight system considering men of different size being part of same division

Being lean in this case offer the advantages typically offered (cardio, speed, agility etc) but also don't penalize much with the cons (strenght, power, toughness) as if your opponent got more muscles it's usually compensated a bit as he's likely a smaller man as bone structure
