5:48 am. ten minutes ago i pulled 405 lbs standard deadlift. so i pulled 405 before the end of my first year of lifting. it's not amazing but it's an accomplishment i am proud of. i started lifting basically as an out of shape fat ass who just ate doritos. so to see how much can change in a year makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. i am now a inshape asshole who knows nothing about lifting who loves doritos.
anyways new deadlift goal. 500 lbs ! I'll try to accomplish that before next august.
Congratulations. That's a great milestone.
But try to figure out how to use your phone to take videos and upload to YouTube before you hit 500lbs! You'll be glad when you do it- having a video of a PR makes it all the sweeter.
still working on it. i figure by 450 i should have it figured out. either that or i just buy an actual camera.
Usually it's not complex. If you can take a video with your phone, then with most phones you plug them into into your computer via the USB port, and the phone opens up like a flash drive or external HDD. Somewhere in the drive that opens up, often in the root, there will be a 'videos' directory, and there you'll find the video you just took. Uploading to YouTube is incredibly easy: log in, click upload, it takes you to a screen with a little dotted box... you then slide the video icon from your phone's directory to the dotted box. Done. Alternatively, from the upload screen hit the 'upload video' button- it opens a dialogue showing your computer and all its drives. If your phone is plugged in, you can just sort through it to find the videos directory. Click- done.
i never thought of that. i usually just send shit to my email. I'll find my phone today and try this.
If you need to do some editing, you can also use Windows Live Moviemaker (which seems to download and install itself automatically if you have a PC). The simplest thing you can do is turn the image around 90 degrees if you need to. You can also trim a bit off the beginning or the end, e.g. if your setup takes half the video time. It's a fantastically simple piece of software.
i can't pull for shit today, i learned a new trick though. i push with my feet and i seemingly get a leg drive which helps. when i have on "on day" i could possibly set a PR now then i can't squat either. so now i guess it's time for smolov.... for overhead pressing.
135 x 3 sets of 9 so far. 2 sets left.
Smolov for press. I'm imPRESSed. Good luck with that!
Also, I am the pun master.
i don't feel like cooking today. i think i may also destroy a container of ice cream later. i have been getting leaner much to my dismay.
I've lost a few pounds this summer as well which has been pissing me off. Mostly since my bicycle is my main mode of transportation. I'm still getting stronger but I want to gain weight as well.
Arkham city is going to be great. Arkham asylum gave me one of the best gaming experiences ever
