They Live log.

it's 1:40 AM and i can't sleep. i do have occasional bouts with insomnia i guess this is one of those days. lifting will be delayed tomorrow after i get a nap hopefully.

5:48 am. ten minutes ago i pulled 405 lbs standard deadlift. so i pulled 405 before the end of my first year of lifting. it's not amazing but it's an accomplishment i am proud of. i started lifting basically as an out of shape fat ass who just ate doritos. so to see how much can change in a year makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. i am now a inshape asshole who knows nothing about lifting who loves doritos.

anyways new deadlift goal. 500 lbs ! I'll try to accomplish that before next august.

anyways i am sure this post is full of gramar errors. sorry to all who read it. i really didn't care, to tired to honestly.

Congratulations. That's a great milestone.

But try to figure out how to use your phone to take videos and upload to YouTube before you hit 500lbs! You'll be glad when you do it- having a video of a PR makes it all the sweeter.

Usually it's not complex. If you can take a video with your phone, then with most phones you plug them into into your computer via the USB port, and the phone opens up like a flash drive or external HDD. Somewhere in the drive that opens up, often in the root, there will be a 'videos' directory, and there you'll find the video you just took. Uploading to YouTube is incredibly easy: log in, click upload, it takes you to a screen with a little dotted box... you then slide the video icon from your phone's directory to the dotted box. Done. Alternatively, from the upload screen hit the 'upload video' button- it opens a dialogue showing your computer and all its drives. If your phone is plugged in, you can just sort through it to find the videos directory. Click- done.

i never thought of that. i usually just send shit to my email. I'll find my phone today and try this.

If you need to do some editing, you can also use Windows Live Moviemaker (which seems to download and install itself automatically if you have a PC). The simplest thing you can do is turn the image around 90 degrees if you need to. You can also trim a bit off the beginning or the end, e.g. if your setup takes half the video time. It's a fantastically simple piece of software.

it turns out i do have windows live moviemaker. thanks for the info on that.

EDIT: i think i may just take a week off now that i accomplished my goal. i am not too sure if my CNS is fried or not. anyways I'll probably start up again next week. i'll start planning on whatever i do next. i am thinking of using the westside method or 5/3/1. for deadlifts. i am not too sure about squats admittedly, i suck at them so i could probably do them 3x a week heavy. as for pressing i am not going to change a thing yet.

EDIT2: i read a bit about a fried CNS. it seems i may have actually pulled 405 with one.

i got bit by the press bug today horray.

OHP.

135 x 8

155 x 5

175 x 3.

185 x2 (not really strict as i was already pressing as i was rising from the clean.)

bench.

135 close grip x 5

155 x 5

165 x 2. i stopped here because i saw a bar that i wanted to try benching with.

cambered bar bench/press.

press 135 x 5. (not too sure if the bar increases the range of motion on the press or not.)

bench 2 sets of 135 x 5.

not too sure what i was trying to accomplish today.

*diet shit.

7 home made hamburger patties. that's it.

because editing on a phone sucks I am just making a new post.
EDIT:
small hill five times. this hill is pretty much just a warm up one.

large hill ten times. worst hill ever. at certain parts its like running up steps and then all of a sudden it becomes more hill like. easy to start difficult to finish at times.

medium sized hill five times. this hill is not a very steep one. so i was able to sprint faster comfortably, although i had to jump over a fucking fallen tree on this one each time going up. i noticed on this hill i was running than i ever had before. so that was pretty sweet.

this was a great day admittedly my conditioning isn't as bad as i previously thought.

goblet squats 3 x 5 90 lbs.

that's it. I've realized i was not using the hip drive correctly. so this is what decided to do.

diet shit*

4 sunny side eggs with hot sauce cooked into em.

4 pieces of toast.

small monster.

shit that bugs me A.K.A notes.

the hip drive feels odd.

i had to add 13 to my username ,meanwhile some fucker has an acc without the 13. i stumbled upon it, he has only 6 posts since 06 ! fuck you sir. also fuck my inability to have a creative name. :icon_lol:

i can't pull for shit today, i learned a new trick though. i push with my feet and i seemingly get a leg drive which helps. when i have on "on day" i could possibly set a PR now then i can't squat either. so now i guess it's time for smolov.... for overhead pressing.

135 x 3 sets of 9 so far. 2 sets left.

I've lost a few pounds this summer as well which has been pissing me off. Mostly since my bicycle is my main mode of transportation. I'm still getting stronger but I want to gain weight as well.

Arkham city is going to be great. Arkham asylum gave me one of the best gaming experiences ever
