Okaaaay. So, if the difference between those sports is age of the sport, what era of boxing is the UFC at right now? Both sports were largely illegal at their starts and during their growth, both had huge stigmas. And mma uses wrestling as a feeder system often...which is at times an olympic sport

Say you sign a 5 fight contract and the ufc gives you two fights and doesn’t not honor the remaining fights of the deal and you can’t go somewhere else to make your living.

that’s a shitty deal.

In so far as I know they are obligated to honor those fights, at the risk of the contract being voided.

UFC makes slaves from their fighters, once they sign contract, they can´t fight anywhere else, until they cut them or contract is finished. There should be also the time expiration, like you can´t sign contract which would have effect longer than 2 years. For example the Jones or GSP thing, they basically have 0 leverage in negotiation with UFC.
In other sports you also sign for seasons/time not for matches..
Commission / law change/ fighter union would fix that.

Sure. If that's the case, why do boxer promoters have such a smaller profit margin and profits than the UFC? Shouldn't they have larger profits than the UFC, since their sport is so much more popular globally? Again, it just sounds like your talking bollocks and don't understand how bizarre mma contracts are and how not unique the sport is financially in most respects.
