There is only one more belt left for Cris Cyborg...

Cyborg has had a great career, but for me, she comes in 2nd in the GOAT talks to Amanda Nunes. Their fight was my favorite WMMA fight ever, and the way Nunes went toe to toe with the most feared woman fighter ever, and won by KO, was impressive. If they had a womans BMF belt, that fight would have been it!
Amanda has too many losses to mediocre fighters. Cyborg beat all her mediocre competition for 20 years and she beat all her good competition as well with the exception of a 50/50 firefight with Nunes

Competition matters a lot when it comes to longevity, vast majority of Cyborg's career she was just mauling girls without taking much damage.

It's way harder for a guy to do that because there's just more men fighting, especially when compared to 145 for women.

What she's done is still pretty impressive though, no doubt about it.
Yes, because she was that much better than the girls.

She lost to Nunes and got fucked out of a rematch. Nunes has some laughable losses. Cyborg lost to Nunes who went on to dominate the division. Cyborg would never lose to Alexis Davis or Sara Delelio or whatever the fuck her name is.

Her voice sounds like she's on a phone call while in the Witness Protection Program. I wasn't ready for it, when she gave the post fight interview. Caught me by surprise.

Anyway, I'm glad she won. It's cool to see how many championship belts she has won. Incredible career.

Do people realize she isnt PFL Champion now? She won the "superfight whatever made up name" belt from PFL, their champion has to win the belt via their season format, and while Pacheco is the FW tournament winner, they dont become defending champions, belt is gone, they fought for a vacant belt, same as Ngannou vs Ferreira.

Nunes destroyed Cyborg, and I have no doubt she would do it again if they fought. I see your point though.

McGregor destroyed Aldo in a very similar way, unexpected and quick (with no rematch although it'd have sold out), but none'd use it to put Conor's career above Aldo's.

She’s definitely up there in the discussion. Lifetime accomplishments, hard to argue her place in the top spot. I can see people giving a valid argument that the UFC 145 division was a joke and Nunes decimated her there, but for overall career accomplishments… definitely up there. I’d have to sift through the criteria if I were to choose between Nunes and Cris. Enjoyed watching both do their thing.
I'd give it to Cyborg for longevity, basically 20 years as a pro now and still at the top of the sport plus the titles in every organisation.

That Nunes fight is her only loss apart from her pro debut, I wish Nunes would have let have a rematch.

I disagree about a rematch, I think if Cyborg had followed the game plan and used her cardio and volume over 5 rounds, she would have won. Instead she threw that out the window and went berzerk and Nunes came out on top. Nunes certainly deserved to win that fight, it wasn't a fluke, but the rematch (that she never gave Cyborg) would have gone differently imo

I remember her fight with Gina Carano back in 2009 or something. I'd hardly watched any WMMA at the time and was surprised how sloppy it was. Granted, Cyborg was better and a bit less sloppy, but still, it wasn't a good display of MMA. But they were the two best at the time, even if Gina was kind of a size bully and Cyborg was a roid bully.

Franci$ and Cyborg glazers glazed right over those details <lol>

It's been years since I watched it, but Gina had a good position on the ground and just stood up and got battered, right?

she beat PFL's previous season champion. i guess you could say Cyborg has the lineal title now. if you dont count that superfight belt, Cyborg still has 4 other championship belts.
she's the 2nd best WMMA fighter of all time. and who knows? she might go through a regular PFL season. she said she wasnt done fighting yet. beating Pacheco is just another accomplishment in a storied career.

I haven't seen it since it happened live, but that sounds about right. I vaguely remember that. Too bad Cyborg never fought Ronda, as she'd then have faced pretty much every major WMMA star in or around her weight class.
