A few cliffs and information learned from the URL.

-Churchill, Manitoba, Canada is the world's polar bear capital.

-Polar bears are listed on the U.S. Endangered Species Act.

-Scientists estimate there to be 20-25K polar bears left in the wild.

Twenty-five thousand polar bears.

I cannot even imagine.

Are there any Polar bears in Eurasia, or is it all Brown bears there?

And Discovery Channel, and history channel have been all over that town with specials, and stuff. It is quite well known if you want to see polar bears, you go to Churchill. Do those guys even have a major junior hockey team.

i believe pretty much all the littoral states to the north pole have them. Russia has them for sure, they are all over the place in Svalbard, etc.

I want to imigrate to Canada and see these bears up close!!

Hope they do ok. But I'm ok being far away from them.

I live pretty much downtown toronto and due to the mild winter there has only been i think one polar bear attack this winter .. Still with the nba all star game in town, there have been a ton of polar bear patrols to ensure there are no attacks this weekend .. I think they tranquilized a couple and took them to montreal

Apparently the polar bear tours up there are pretty cool.

I have a colleague who imigrated to Manitoba as an evironmental engineer I wonder if the bears got him.

Awesome animals. I was able to see some when I visited Fort Severn years ago, one of the locals took me to the edge of the bay to look for them

And love this gif...
