Television THE WHEEL OF TIME (Cancelled by Prime Video After Three Seasons, post #448)

Update: September 2, 2021

First Teaser Trailer for THE WHEEL OF TIME; Premieres Nov. 19, 2021 on Prime Video

This looks pretty damn good. Nudity? Hope so.

Friends have been telling me about this book series for quite awhile. Maybe I audio book the shit out of them when I go back to working non-remote.

This is a very female centric story from my understanding, usually I'm not into those and I suspect alot of people are like me. Seems like alot of money to throw at a risky concept.

Same old stuff, nothing interesting. Fantasy has gotten really stale.

Right now I only like Stormlight, at least the magic and all that stuff is unique.

Dude, maybe it is a little female centric but this is one of the greatest Fantasy Epic book series written. GOT was the biggest TV series of all time and most folks I ask say WOT books were even better. It's like between GOT an Lotr. I am expecting greatness here.
Amazon/ Bezos are going all out for this series. I am expecting so ewhere between a slight less than SOIAF series to being out right better.

Granted I have only read first 3 WOT books but they were MUCH better than the first 3 ASOIAF books. Jmo

Literally every paragraph with women in them were sexual.

It talked about bosoms alot lol but I meant they aren't like boning all the time. It's mostly just showing off tits randomly.

True. But there's almost non-stop sexual tension. Eroticism doesn't have to include nudity or coitus, dontcherknow.

They really drag through the second half of the series. If it had been cut down to 3 or 4 books it would've been much better.

Are you talking about WOT, GOT, ASOIAF or LOTR...?

If WOT:

The enumeration of the books always confuses me. The Swedish translated versions were cut up into shorter parts. I think they basically took every original book and split it in two, but I'm not sure. I remember thinking the series went off the rails after Rand kicked ass on Toman's Head, and that was at the end of the fourth (swedish version) book. Which book does that happen in, originally?

doesn't look good to me, but my issues with it seem like the same problems i had with the books, so maybe it'll be a pretty faithful adaptation.

Ya I guess I was just thinking of it differently

I was talking about WOT. I read all the books back to back so I don't have a good recollection of exactly which book everything happens in, I just remember flying through the first half then the second half was a chore for the most part.

Which ones are Rand, perrin and Mat. I couldn't tell damnit.

I assume the dude with the axes was perrin
