@senri, is this true?

(I know it's an adverb...)

It's true. You all possesss intrinsically unique flavors worth tasting. I'm glad you asked me this question Mr. Savage. Out of most of the posters in this forum I believe you to have the most pronounced aromas. Feel blessed in this revelation. It only adds to your grace....

Defoes. My favourite childhood memories are going shooting with my grandpa. However, I have no pew pews of my own. Never got around to it.
Never too late. But it is an expensive hobby.

Static target shooting with bolt action .22s is strangely popular with the old guys here. Pretty cheap hobby.
On the other end of the spectrum is the collectors, Western Action LARPers and trophy safaris.

22 shooting can be some of the most fun. Look no further than 22 plinkster's videos on the YouTubes. I don't know about bolt action though. At leas not at such a small calibre. Maybe I'll give iy a try, just for the fun of going through the motions.

Some of the ranges here can be extremely restrictive (presumably due to liability). As in they only want people single loading .22 bolt actions. No magazines and no centrefire shooting. Possibly because of the proximity to the suburbs. If I want to do metallic silhouette, 2-gun, 3-gun, IPSC, precision rifle or black powder shooting, I have to take about a 40min drive.

just remembered that we have a post/belt system. I've been on the phone app for so long or been a mod for so long that I haven't seen a belt under my name in about a decade.

Looks like I'll be a steel belt by the end of a year. Fuck it's been a long time: 14+ years.

When I was in my teens, the principle of my high school used to take people to the RCMP range here in town to shoot .22 bolt actions. I think these were training rifles from WW2 or something. But it was fun as hell. It might have given me a false sense of belief in my ability, though. I only went a few times and I was hitting the small paper target fairly squarely (LOL) but I have to imagine lying prone, using a rifle, it's not all that hard to hit a target at 50 or 100 feet.

Does your wife know we play chess?
Yes, and she's the jealous type so stay on your side of the board.

I think it would have been funnier had you left out the disclaimer. But it definitely gets a like.

And yes, some of us definitely taste better than others and take that which every way you like ;)

This is good. I hope your wife loves you as much as I do...
More, but not for your lack of trying, I'm sure.

It seems to me like you haven't posted much lately. I trust all is well?
Same to you @MrFriendly.

meh, death is for the living anyway. They're the sorry sons of bitches have to deal with it.
Indeed, it is an attitude passed on to me from my father that public shows of grief are just for letting everyone else know you feel bad, ditto visiting my grandmother after she could no longer recognize me. I fucking hate pretense and I hate funerals. I think people should grieve privately, even as I understand the purpose of community gathering to support the bereaved. Those can be two separate things, imo.

As I have said many times, once I'm a corpse I don't give a shit what you do with me, set me on fire, make frogs tap dance on my forehead, mount me arse first on a flag pole, whatever, but ideally I'd want to be the centerpiece of a big party, have everyone get shitfaced, and then dispose of me along with the rest of the trash (unless a scientific purpose can be found). Prior to that, though, I intend to fight like hell to live as long as I possibly can while at the same time enjoying myself as much as possible. These are apparently mutually exclusive goals, so it's a balancing act, but there's no way I'm going to sit around and wait for death to come for me.
