Baseball is probably the least athletic sport out there. Dadbod galore.

I feel like that stereotype is a leftover relic of the 90s and early 2000s. Modern baseball players are all pretty reasonably in shape nowadays. The Immortal Bartolo Colon being a real outlier but he still was a great pitcher in his prime.

Let's think of ways to make baseball more exciting. First of all, the bases need to be trampolines.
Bring back home plate collisions

The rule got changed because of Buster Posey having his knee absolutely shredded after a collision at home and I get why they are gone but as a guy that used to play the position that never got bowled over when I played.... I miss seeing them sometimes.

Unless they're dirty as fuck like this one:

@Jack V Savage I can't be the only guy that still feels Marisnick intentionally went for Lucroy can I?

That guy is so fucking long winded, I'm not sure I've listened to him explain anything fully.

I just had someone in the grappling forum tell me “I want to know what he knows, I am not paying for a 5 minute video”.

Trudeau will never step aside. It's not in his nature. There is a large portion of the Liberal party that hates him, but another contingent that is highly personally loyal to him. It's basically a recipe for infighting, especially with Freeland's star on the rise.

I remember watching the press conference that Trudeau gave to the liberal caucus after expelling JWR and Jane Philpott. It was downright creepy. Trudeau was reading from a script. Who wrote the script? I don't know. But it was D list acting. Real ''garbage day'' stuff. And they were lapping it up. I can still see Marc Garneau nodding his head with a fawning smile on his face. He was genuinely elated at the nonsense performance he was witnessing. It was fucking bonkers.

Trudeau's problem in particular, I think, is that he perceives himself as a de facto good person, who does good things, who is friends with good people who do good things, and when he uses government funds to enrich them, he is just a good person giving money to other good people so they can do more good things. He perceives this as a matter of optics, not ethics, by his own admission.

I think Trudeau legitimately doesn't realize that giving large sole-source contracts of taxpayer money to people who are paying his family members hundreds of thousands of dollars and taking him and his ministers on lavish vacations is corrupt.

This is probably a good read. He also didn't realize that using DPAs to obtain favourable economic outcomes is literally illegal (written into the section), and was something that not even SNC Lavalin's own CEO was asking for. No seriously, Neil Bruce was even asked if that's what the whole DPA thing was about and he said ''that can't be what it's about because that's illegal.'' Didn't stop Trudeau among others from blurting it out on national television.

Fuck those guys man. Like I said they just make me sick.

Because he swung at a 3-0 pitch up seven runs late in the game (the four runs increases SD's chances of winning from 99.6% to 99.9%), and also because he was visibly happy about the great result from that swing. And the dude is probably the most talented guy to come into the game since Trout.

That is some master morality right there. U B E R M E N S C H

When ya need a replacement key for your laptop's keyboard, what site do ya buy from? Need recommendations. Don't know which site to trust.

Golf, curling, yachting/sailing, auto racing (except motorcycle), fishing, shooting (archery and firearms like trap excluding biathlon), bowling, disc golf, then there’s darts, card games, chess, esports, pool, etc.

Lots of “sports” don’t require much athleticism. I’d say the least of which are the ones you can drink alcohol and smoke while competing.

If we’re going by just body type you could say sumo wrestling but they’re actually pretty athletic in their own way (not the endurance running way lmao).

That gurgle video is pretty solid. I watched the whole Danaheur SM escape set and, while it has a lot of good stuff, it did not cover this at all. I then watched the blue belt accelerator course By Whittier and a version of this improved my SM defense over night. Only when on his right side he lies the right arm along his head like a pillow. Stops top guy from using that arm to pull u flat. He also tucks the left arm between his legs to avoid Kimora ‘or darces. Also if top guy goes north south be ready to follow him with your bottom leg and come up onto your knees. Great defense imo.

I’ll look his side control series up. Aside from deep half, I’m not really drilling anything now which isn’t good. I just want a clear idea of my reactions in each side control position. I mostly always try to get them to hipswtich and then I push on their outside arm and possibly grab the pant for a sweep or if they get the arm around, pushing under their arm. At the very least, it prevents the cross face but can somewhat turn into a stall. Now that I think about it, it probably cause I’m not circles out with my legs/ hips. There’s a lot of details I’ve lost cause of lockdown.

Anyone in here a gun nut? I just picked up a Springfield Edge PDW and cannot wait to go shoot some paper.

Players may be in better shape but it's not a requirement , players like John Kruk, Fernando Valenzuela and even Babe Ruth could still play today

All of the problems Trudeau exemplifies are longstanding ones in Canadian politics, but I find it really discouraging that people don't even seem to care that Trudeau's responses to basic questions fail to pass the Turing test. GPT-3 produces more human dialogue.

A large part of his political success has been betting (successfully), that what you say is less important than how you say it.

Harper's major communication problem (although there are shades of what Trudeau does as well, with the non-answers), was overstrict information control.

Trudeau talks a lot more, but most of the time he isn't using words to communicate information so much as mood.

That's nuts. I honestly prefer politicians who realize they are corrupt to those who think they are pure when they aren't, because the lack of self-awareness is super dangerous.

Trudeau and his circle have a nasty tendency to conflate what is good for them with what is good for the country. It's a common failing in politics, but Trudeau in particular has a bad case.

I don't buy that no one in Trudeau's circle knew they were breaking the law with the DPA, though. I can maybe believe that Trudeau was dumb enough. I will say that one of the interesting things about Trudeau's inner circle that makes it plausible is that, oddly for government, there are very basically no people with meaningful legal experience. Sometimes a lawyer is a useful thing to have around.

Yep, that’s when I feel most comfortable trying to get out, assuming they didn’t get a decent grip on my near side arm.

Samesies. Unless the guy really gets in there and is a judoka. But the nearside collar is such an awesome frame. Like, they just can't hold you.
