Oliveira deserves to fight the winner of Conor/Dustin. His next fight should be for the LW title. His manager should accept nothing else.

again, the circumstances are not the same, and every time he vacated the belt it was for a larger challenge. that doesn't really exist for him. vacating a belt to fight mas at ww doesn't meet that standard.

and IF they give him a title shot, i'm sure they'll have discussions in advance as to what might come next, and what doesn't.

Conor vs Poirier for 155 belt. Khabib vs GSP for the new 165 belt. Winner of Usman/Burns vs Chimaev for the 175 belt - replacing 170.

This would be epic and make a lot of sense. The 170 division just moves up 5 pounds, still legitimate. The 165 belt gets the biggest fight with 2 top fighters, making the division legit from the start. Conor gets the belt again at 155 and keeps the division legit as he is probably the 2nd best guy in the division after Khabib.

We don't know this at all. Serval years ago he was definitely the second best apart from Khabib. When guys have been largely inactive for several years, we have little idea how god they currently are. That's the point with McGregor. It's not that he's never been good, but he needs wins.

I don't disagree necessarily disagree with your feeling. But "feeling" is a tenuous criteria for a title shot. Wins is a much better metric.

dustin lays down like mendes and cowboy for a bigger payday. conor gets the belt for a khabib and or nate diaz rematch. and olivera just sits and gets old with islam.

Conor beat Dustin 7 years ago, 3 years before his last and only win at LW, 4 years ago. And that wasn't even at LW.

Doesn't fucking matter, just like your opinion. Conor was off for 2 years to box the GOAT and fought Khabib with no tune-up fights. Everybody with a brain knows he wasn't in top shape for that fight. Then he moved up to 170 and all his haters picked Cowboy by beatdown. DOY!! Conor beat him worse than he's ever been beaten, and Cowboy's next two fights proved he wasn't washed up. Conor deserves the shot so go cry to momma. Oliveira gets the winner so he's fine with it also. You could tell by his post-fight interview after he proved Tony was no longer a top contender. Khabib quit so fuck him. His ego can't take a loss. Conor brushes them off and comes back better and stronger.
