The UFC needs a replay center to catch fouls after the fact.

The NBA (mostly) stopped flopping by having a replay center review tape in detail and fine players for trying to sneak by the rules. The UFC should do this too.

Example...at 2:28, Chris Weidman blatantly tries to poke Mousasi's eyes to save his own ass. Weidman should get fined or penalized for this even if the ref didn't catch it at the moment.

(if the UFC already does this, disregard this thread, lol)

In the weidman-mousasi incident, yes it was a legal knee. But I still think Weidman should have been given the full 5 min because it’s the referee’s fault.

(Weidman obviously didn’t want to resume anyways but just saying)

In this case we're talking about Weidman blatantly and repeatedly trying to poke Mousasi's eyes before that happened.

The UFC is the tv promoter.

The ACs decide on rules, fouls, results etc.

So this an AC issue.

Judges should have to publicly display their scorecards after each round.

That would be stupid.

UFC doesn't officiate the fights. The athletic commissions do, and it's very hard to make them adhere to a common set of rules.

They say it would slow the action down, but im thinking, shit stops at the alleged foul anyway. Theyd look at the replay exactly at that time and, bam, make a ruling.

Years ago, i had to be convinced these judges/refs did NOT see the replays from fouls. Dumbfounded that theyre not doing it.

Not sure if anyone has said this or not, but NO, the NBA did not "MOSTLY" stop flopping by having a replay center review tape. Flopping is just as prevalent as it has ever been.

Because it's stupid. Get better refs.

We don't need more stoppages in the fight and we don't need results tallied after the fight is finished and decided in the cage.
You seem to be assuming that the replay center would interrupt fights, which I said repeatedly it wouldn't. And that it would change the finish of the fight, which I said it wouldn't.

Weidman was trying to bend the shit out of the rules that fight. Poking shit, and then mentally I think he was there after the knee, but he was trying to pull a Josh Koscheck and act hurt to either get more time to rest, or get a possible infraction against mousassi. It back fired, they called him on his bluff, and he lost right there on the spot instead of later. He knew he couldn't win that night.

I'm not sure you realize how prevalent it was BEFORE they instituted the tape review and fines. The Heat were absolutely ridiculous. I used to moderate an NBA board.

Lmao. I've been watching basketball for 30 years. You're high on meth amphetamine if you think flopping is "MOSTLY" gone in the NBA. Just saying that basically discredits any opinion you have on the subject in the future. But thanks for assuming you know something about me.

Pretty clear from the video he was aiming for the eyes with fingers exteneded. I agree it should happen. I think the easiest solution with eye pokes is switching to the pride gloves.

Instant replay was in effect for the last UFC PPV event.

Weidman complaining he couldn't see and shit to the dr killed off any chance of the fight continuing. He played his cards when he thought he would get the DQ win, after he found out it was legit you cant go back on what you told the dr to keep the fight going so it isn't a loss. He tried and failed. The chris is a horrible sport. deserving result imo
