Partnering up with USADA was the single worst business decision they have made... And the ramifications are evident. This is a deep seeded ideological issue that echoes sentiments about the baser human condition in the elements of social competition. USADA is not playing around, this is only the beginning. How many more top fighters are going to get caught, suspended, let alone the ones constantly pulling out due to injury.

Mark my words. This is the beginning of the end for the UFC. Like the Fall of the Roman Empire. UFC had its moment, and foolishly miscalculated. Zuffa forsaw this, hence why they decided to jump ship.

They had opened Pandora's box and knew what the future holds for the organization.. This is why they sold for 4 billion.

But how will this happen?

Enter Bellator.

Like Kevin Nash and Scott Hall bouncing from the WWE, and forming the NWO with Ted Turner and WCW, the same will happen in Mixed Martial Arts. First it will be guys like Mir, then it'll eventually come to some big players deciding to switch brands. Don't be surprised if Mendes and Jones decide to jump ship.

USADA partnering... The Reebok deal... Pivotal moments that led to the downfall of the UFC Empire.

You almost had me there. Not bad troll attempt, but by your reference to the WWF and those other Pro Wrestling orgs, ya blew it.

Not with the quality of Bellators production.

Shit, last card, no one could even SEE the fights live on TV, until the damn card was nearly over.

There are a lot of causal fans who still refer to any MMA as UFC. This will never change.

Fighters jumping ship won't mean anything in the long run for Bellator since the brand name "UFC" is bigger than the name attraction of most fighters who could theoretically "jump ship" (exception being Lesnar and maybe McGregor).

Plus I'm quite enjoying all these drug cheats getting caught out, it's been needed for a long time.

Chandler will align himself The Pitbull brothers and form the NWO? It's possible...

These are the same people that roast the NFL for not doing more for CTE. Better this than in 10 years it coming out you let everyone be roided up killing eachother in the ring. What they are doing may be harder now but better in the long run. Called accountability and responsibility. I am shocked you think it is OK to let the Jon Jones of the world get away with roids and losing a good guy like GSP in the process.

Yeah.................those guys won't be "jumping ship" until about two years from now due to their suspensions.

You trolls aren't even trying anymore.

If the actual Bellator is the future then MMA is fucked.

Fight Nights in Russia and Risin in Japan... I have big hopes on them.

Are you saying Bellator doesn't respect athletic commissions and drug testing, and that's why they will beat out the UFC?

Your train of though piques my interest, yet at the same time confuses the hell out of me.

Without talking about Bellator, the UFC seems in big trouble.

Every weeks now I read about UFC fighters testing positives and being suspended. Every week. What happen when all their biggest stars get suspended?

Sakakibara should buy bellator, bring Inoki with him, allow PEDs and institute 10 minutes first rounds.

MMA saved

Not with Coker at the helm. Man, I had great respect for Coker and I really hoped he'd turn things around, considering his track record. But boy did he suck. Rebney was better.

You should probably rethink that theory, as hostile takeovers are not a thing with private companies..
