They've also abandoned "if you don't like it, build your own" that was the argument early in the purge, and when someone did, they just throttle it to remove any alternative. This is what happens when legal get's involved. It can be argued that your boy Trump incited a riot, in which people got hurt and some died. Yeah, there's no way for the president to be heard or generally for someone to write something online except through Twitter. They have a monopoly on Internet content.

This whole thing is sickening. The president lies, Twitter adds a note saying to check into this claim, and then Republicans start screeching that private citizens are censoring the president and they have to be shut down to protect free speech. The worst part of these fucking fascists is that they pretend to be liberals crying on behalf of rather than in opposition to freedom of speech (just like the anti-democracy activists pretend to support it). Not sure it's comparable, but we're seeing a party trying to shut a company down because they criticized the president (very mildly, at that) and force many companies to host content that they disapprove of. This should be very scary to anyone who values political freedoms, including free speech. And this is the same movement that has been trying to overturn an election. The GOP is becoming pretty openly fascist.

I don’t think you appreciate the situation. Trump and and the sycophants in his orbit incited a riot, with the intention of derailing the democratic process. The capital was overrun by a mob who had violent intent, people died and an officer of the law was murdered. The Halls of Congress were breached and vandalized, the lives of many law makers were directly threatened, including the Vice President.

Worst of all, the evidence suggests that elements of the law enforcement and law makers were almost certainly involved and complicit. It is unclear how high up the ladder that goes, but it’s not unreasonable to surmise that it high level officials may be directly culpable. This was not something that happened spontaneously this was planned.

Make no mistake this was an attempt at a coup d'etat. Many of the rioters, some sherdogers doubtless among them, committed federal offenses, arguably capital crimes. Don’t fool yourself this is no joke and heads will doubtlessly roll over this.
