I've been an amateur astronomer all my life and don't know that I've ever heard any scientist in any field whip out septillion.

References in any show are good if they're subtle enough that you might not catch it until a second viewing. Rewatchability points.

Or that the Romulans are synth Vulcans and that's why the cube shut down,

If the show was actually good and treating the characters faithfully and respectfully I would say Worf or Geordi. But the show is trash so I’ll say Kes.

I'll be in the minority saying Kes was alright until her character arc nosedived. Also, she was mildly fuckable.
