Thought I'd run it by my AI overlord real quick
But no, we get someone my 5 and 11 year old nephews never heard of, by buddies daughters 6-14 never heard of, someone my uncles (and cousins) that watch the NFL LITERALLY all week all season never heard of.... and my grandparents.... ya getting the point? If the point is spectacle and showmanship -- "the best half time EVER" then they should be fired for incompetency.
Marketing, outside of just "oooh controvoersy" or "OMG LOOK HOW BUTTHURT THEY ARE" responses, when the NFL could have likely (within logical reason) given the world an abosloute fucking SHOWSTOPPER half time (Metalliswift , Swiftallica)... decides to go with some PR dude and call it "winning" because "people are butthurt"?
Swiftallica!
You telling me this was the best possible choice, or biggest N best show when when you could market "Swiftallica" for MONTHS to promo it? THIS IDEA IS BILLIONS IN VIEWS, AD PLACEMENT, MARKETING....
*someone insert the ARE YOU tarted GIF HERE*
Are you fucking insane? No one's really "mad" or "butthurt" at why this person got the halftime -- it's more like... well, that's fucking stupid.... and are laughing at the decision. Months of speculation as to what they will play, will they jam together, what songs.... the HYPE ALONE.... BILLIONS OF VIEWS, BILLIONS IN MARKETING....
... but nah -- just get the PR dude that no one in the US even knows or cares about lol -- then politicize it, and call that "winning".... WOOO!
Yeah — Metallica + Taylor Swift would’ve been a marketing nuke. Swift brings the global pop audience and social media frenzy, Metallica brings rock credibility and multi-generation reach, and together they’d hit every demographic from teens to dads in one shot. Cross-genre appeal, record-breaking viewership, massive streaming spikes, and cultural moment status — basically the safest, biggest, most viral halftime combo possible.
