Joey Diaz, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Christina P, Ari Shaffir, Tom Papa, Tony Hinchcliffe, Bryan Callen, etc. Have all benefited from being Joe Rogan's friend.

Yeah, honestly, odds are I wouldn't even know who 90% of those guys were, if it weren't for Joe.

It's a bit like those comedians one only knew because they went on O&A, but even way more extreme.

I know nobody here likes him or thinks he's funny. Whether they really feel that way, or it's just the cool opinion to follow who can tell. I personally like Schaub and think he's funny, I like Rogan too as a commentator & podcaster (I do think he sucks at comedy though.) Good for Schaub, he really lives that hardest working man in showbiz mantra even if he isn't known for it, the dude is everywhere, always working, and I believe he is more honest on camera then people think.

I dont think anyone denies that Rogan played a big role in Shuabs success, Shuab himself has admitted this and said he was grateful for it, but I think previous posters discounted the fact that even though Rogan gave him a tremendous platform it was still Shuab who was able to capitalize on it, more so than any other name he has had on the show.

Dude no one outside of the california stand up circle would know about Diaz, Callen, Kreischer, Segura, Theo Von etc etc. They all capitalized massively out of their JRE appearances. Only a fool would deny this. And just because Callen was an extra on the hangover doesn't mean anyone knew his name before. Being on JRE nowadays is the equivalent to being on The Howard Stern show in the 90s. People make carreers out of it. There's also his hunter friends, Dr Ronda Patrick, Graham Hancock etc who all made careers out of being on JRE and they are not even close friends of his like Schaub so imagine bein in his inner circle. Props to Joe though. He has lifted the careers of all his friends and helped them grow immensely

All these guys bitching about Penn and Cuck not retiring but then bitch when a fighter does retire and succeeds. Maybe Schaub wasn't a great fighter because his heart wasnt in it... Well, that's what let him retire from the sport with a few brain cells. Unfortunately, the guys that are true fighters don't know what else to do a lot of the time since fighting is what the know. Its what they love. I don't like Schaub or his work but the hate he gets for succeeding is insane. Who knows, maybe Schaub will open up some doors for other fighters later.

I think from a different perspective, making it to the UFC and winning fights in the premier organization of the world does make you a great fighter.

He wasn’t elite though. But considering how many of people work their ass off to not even make it to the UFC, his run is well above average for an mma fighter.
