There's only one plausible way Congress will see a fully unredacted Mueller report: if the House decides to impeach the President. Even then, it's not a sure thing, because the law is somewhat unclear regarding the Court's authority to release grand jury material in circumstances like this. Impeachment, after all, is technically not a "judicial proceeding." See Fed. R. Crim. Pro. 6(e). One thing is for sure: Barr cannot release the unreacted report to Congress on his own without subjecting himself to contempt liability. And even if he could, Congress wouldn't be permitted to share that information with the public. I wouldn't count on ever seeing that unredacted report.

Anyway, what do you think is in those redactions? Do you really think it's going to change anything? Honestly, it's probably best for Dems to just move on and focus on 2020.

I don't really care what's in the redactions or if I (or the public) ever see them. Just believe in transparency and that Congress should see everything.

I'd love for there to be full transparency, with all of this unclassified and unredacted. I've been saying so for years. But there's the little problem of the rule of law.

Also, the fact you want an individual's private financials to be weaponized against them is a great argument against the income tax and the IRS as currently constituted.

I certainly am bothered that the Russians interfered with our election. What in the world does that have to do with Mueller's report, which unequivocally states there was no conspiracy or coordination between the Russian efforts and the Trump campaign? He goes so far as to say "no US person" conspired or coordinated with Russia's IRA.

A person who cares about Russia's attempts to manipulate our election might want to begin looking elsewhere at this point. Unless you don't really care much about that and are using it as cover to get Trump.

Wow, lots of evidence for obstruction and Mueler clearly thinks it’s enough to charge anyone who’s not president.
The report says he will not even say a crime was committed by a party that can’t be charged, regardless of evidence. Whereas if no crime was committed he will say so. He did that wrt collusion. The fact that he didn’t do the same for obstruction is damning, imo.

Not sure what congress will try to do with this, but anyone who was chanting lock her up should be organizing their Trump chant. Any minute now...

No. They knew wikileaks had received stolen data from the russian state. They knew wikileaks was in coordination with the russian state. And the trump campaign coordinated with them in terms of strategy in timing the release of selected portions.

Barr's official stance is this cannot be considered collusion with Russia because wikileaks, while knowingly dealing with information they knew was stolen, didn't actively participate with the hack.

Regardless, that should bother people. That a presidential campaign would work with a foreign state, through an intermediary, to help win an election through theft.
