The reason why Izzy will lose to Poatan again

I mean, pointing to his social media presence as an indicator is silly. He IS a student of the game... his whole life depends on being capable in the field. It's an image, people do stupid shit on all the time on the socials Can't tell that he fell asleep.. Maybe he did, maybe got a mate to take a funny photo of him.... But really, can you picture it?

Izzy: "Bro, I'm falling asleep, take a photo, I'm bored!" All that's bullshit.

He will lose again tho.

In the first fight, I don't go with he narrative that Izzy was WAY ahead going in to the fifth. He WAS ahead in the respect he had more points. But he was being stalked. I felt Alex was laying traps and reading reactions. He knew the leg kicks were mounting up and he was careful not to be countered. When the time came, he struck. When they fight again, I believe that time will come earlier in the fight.

Why? Because the only realistic way I can see him beating Alex is by getting him down and finishing him. And he can't do that, or hasn't shown that it's possible.

I don't see him being able to maintain position long enough to pound him out. And I can't see a sub coming at any point. If he adopts the that approach andyway and doesn't get the finish in the 1st two rounds, he'll be gassed from his attempts and will have far less mobility (what took him so far in the first fight).

He's tried to outpoint him and lost, then tried to bring it and lost. Then tried to mix it up and lost. I can't see how he goes to the only untried route and has success. I might be wrong. But it seems a lot more likely that Alex actually improves and makes Izzy look worse.

Is because he is not a student of the game. He even fell asleep watching Merab vs Yan which was a pretty high level fight. Everybody knows I'm a big Merab hater, but I can't deny his fight with Yan was surprisingly very entertaining and Merab put a very brilliant performance. I can't believe Izzy fall asleep watching high level fight, there is def things he can learn watching that fight. He even said it himself, "Oh shit man, high paced high level".

Now compare it to handsome chad Poatan. He watches his fights with Izzy multiple times, Glover confirmed this and said Poatan always ask him to watch together. This guy is a maniac in a good way. He is willing to immerse himself and watch that fight 100 times and never get bored. He even watches Izzy reaction video, dang this man is comitted. Winning doesn't satisfy him, he wants to take everything Izzy has. This type of bloodlust is going to make him successful again.

Izzy's time at the top is finished. After Poatan beats him, @Hellowhosthat favorite man Shara is going to finish the job. What a beautiful end to a story.

Fucking GOATed thread man I laughed out loud at Wendy's

I'd argue that Izzy is the superior technical martial artist; but Pereira is a fighter's fighter.

You should chat with that one dude with Ludacris in his AV.
You two would get on well.
Alex is a better martial artist than Izzy and it burns you inside

Absolutely not, slowpoke.

I was cheered for Alex last time (?? LOL no hablo ingles); and I will again this time.

Izzy is arguably significantly more technical on his feet; and has a much more developed ground game making him an all around better "martial artist."

Alex is stronger, has better timing, is tougher, etc... hence "fighter's fighter."
It's really not that difficult to understand.

Izzy was winning the majority of the fight but I don't like how often he got trapped against the cage. Even in the earlier rounds before Pereiras kicking game affected him. I think he will get caught earlier in the fight due to this and get put out

Izzy was winning rounds and Pereira was winning the fight. He chopped Izzy down and once he slowed down he knocked him out.

Izzy defeats himself. He’s emotion drivenwhen he fights alex, even if he doesnt show it.

will he beat alex? From the data given, probably not. I will continue to pick izzy tho because i think hes the better fighter
I'm picking Izzy too and I also think he's the better fighter. What makes you think he's driven by emotion when he fights Alex, if he doesn't show it?

Izzy will lose because Dreyga roots for him.

Seriously though Israel has a good chance of winning. I believe he is the better fighter. Alex is just a really bad matchup for Israel. That is also what makes some champions great. If they are able to make adjustments and overcome the bad matchup.

Izzy has to fight a perfect fight and not get cornered where he could get hit with Poatan's hooks. Poatan seems a lot bigger and he hits so frickin hard that Izzy is not safe at any moment in the fight. But if Izzy fights patiently I believe he can pull it off.

Well, well, well, look who we have here, the Crazy Librarian with some insane theories about Izzy and Poatan. But let me tell you, brother, you're way off the mark. Just because Izzy fell asleep watching one fight doesn't mean he's not a student of the game. And Poatan watching his fights multiple times doesn't make him a better fighter either.

You see, fighting is not just about watching tape and analyzing your opponent's moves. It's about having the heart, the drive, and the mental toughness to go out there and do whatever it takes to win. And Izzy has all that in spades, my man. He's a born fighter, and he's got the skills and the killer instinct to back it up.

As for Poatan, sure, he may be committed and have a bloodlust, but that's not gonna be enough to beat Izzy again. Izzy is gonna come back stronger, faster, and more determined than ever before. He's gonna work on his weaknesses, fine-tune his game, and come up with a strategy that will allow him to dominate Poatan from start to finish.

So mark my words, brother, Izzy is gonna come out on top in the rematch, and Poatan is gonna be left wondering what the hell just happened.

That’s an ok reason.

here’s a better reason: he couldn’t do it in three previous attempts
