The REAL reason Khabib retired...

I used to put rogaine on my face to try and grow a real beard, but it didn't work.

A beard could help hide the acne and scarring, but it wasn't meant to be!

Y'all should've seen the acne in my teenage years lol.

Lol it's all good.

I have a personality disorder, so I enjoy ridicule and hatred.

I thought it'd be much worse; there's so much ammunition.
People going out of their way to insult someone they don't know for literally no reason other than how they look shows they're just miserable pieces of shit. Nothing more, nothing less.

I guess a long and storied title defence run was not one of his goals
All time record for title defenses at 155, finishes in defenses at 155, and several other records in the UFC were among those goals and he did that

at 155 but not all time goat .... gsp, AS, fedor .... sure thing.
Lol when did he ever claim to want anything other the best lightweight? And id put Khabib over Andy. You can't ignore the lows of someone's career

He never missed weight once he became the champ and even before that we’re talking a one time instance. The rest of his missed fights was all injury related

Fair point, but St Pierre and Silva were big cutters who were scared of moving up as well.

Hell, even Jon Jones is scared. He just wants to try and cash out with one big fight. Guys like Cormier and Couture would bounce up and down on a moments notice. Those guys are warriors.

At the very least, my three children can watch when they get older just in case I die or their mom leaves me for a Sherdog alpha.

Lol.

Good shit brother. I tried this with a tutorial video on switching out a battery on a car FOB. I'm at 16k views and had my kids film it. They can watch it when their older and have a laugh. Life's to short brother.

Who do you guys think the real reason is?

I could be completely wrong, but I discuss it here.

Posting a video of yourself on Sherdog being a bad idea, I kinda thought this was canon.
I wholeheartedly disagree with the subject of your post, but you got balls I give you that.
Now hang onto that as wily Shermanos rain on you with shittalk. haha

Wild guess:

1) his dad died

2) he accomplished everything he wanted

3) him being champ blocked Islam from advancing

4) he had to fill in as head coach for all of his dad's athletes
5) He tied the record for most LW title defenses
6) Conor and Poirier were fighting for a chance at the title (at the time), he finished both
7) He was the P4P #1 at the time
8) He was already 32 at the time of his retirement

and so on.... Some Sherdoggers just can't comprehend a fighter retiring without getting brutalized, knocked out, having 5 losses in a row, being too old to compete, etc. Khabib left at the perfect time, in what was a flawless career as a fighter.

These are literally the reasons why he retired. But the 1 main reason you're missing is because his mom told him to retire. In Islam, we're demanded to listen to our parents & respect our parents decisions.
Unlike Westerners that just tell their mom to "F*** OFF" when she tells them to do something.

TS needs to quit it with the conspiracy theories.

I've grown to understand these "Khabib is a weight bully/he too scared to move up to WW" advocates.
That's what happens when you're so utterly dominant in your weight class most naysayers, short of admitting your prowess, awkwardly grasp for straws to temper or lessen how good you are.
One of said "straws" is pointing at something you have never done but never really had the need to (moving up a weight class), knowing you'll never be able to do it any longer (in this case, since you're retired).
If there's a clinical diagnosis for "coping", this has got to be one of the bigger tells.
Intellectually dishonest, self - serving, but all in all, a colossal, if unwitting, admission of another's undeniable greatness.

I think the injuries that kept him out for two years, made him think of an exit plan when he was coming back. Plus it's just too good to retire on top. It almost never happens. That oppurtunity came knocking,he has the money, power and influence, had the title around his waist. Im sure his father's death hastened it though. It may have taken a big joy right out of it for him. My dad was my coach in gymnastics, and when he died,I stopped too.

Also at the last comment "I don't think Khabib has the confidence to fight at 170" COMICAL.

So Islam who's made it clear that he intends on moving up a weight class is a better fighter than Khabib because he has the confidence to move up a weight class?
