I have a giant mixed family and never heard this before but I'm not a cook so I'm gonna pay attention from here on out. The biggest food clashes we have is white vs dark meat chicken, how to order it at Royal Farms, and beef vs pork ribs.

With chicken I like the taste of dark meat better but not the texture. I like the texture of white meat the taste is more bland. The white vs dark meat chicken ia a debate I have too at home unsure where I land.

Yes, cooking kills bacteria. So why wash it?

No the whole purpose of cooking food I believe is to kill the bacteria before eating although I agree with you on taste I ain't no raw meat although some do like some kinds of raw meat like tar tar not me
