The Pub - Belph's Battle with Anorexia

Maybe it'll catch on if America goes to war with Germany again.

Algeria are giving Germany all kinds of problems at the moment.

God we hate our coach! The roster is still one of the best despite some injuries but dear lord he's putting the worst possible line up no one could've ever imagined out there every single time.

My favorite on the go is albacore tuna, avacado, shredded baby boy choy, salt and pepper, all mashed up.

Still never eaten Avacodo. Keep meaning to try it but never get round to it.

Feels like I'm watching through a cosmic rift. Spain, Portugal and Italy knocked out in the first round, the latter by the bottom-seeded team in the entire tournament.

Yeah, no one's safe. Even Brazil have had their, "Oh, SHIT!" moments.

I remember when freedom actually meant something. Like freedom cabbage - now there's a foodstuff worthy of the word.

Funny how German Shepherds ended up being called Alsatians, rather than Freedom Shepherds, though.

German Shepherds are the Uber Dog.

Freedom Shepherds sounds kind of bad ass

Sounds like Holywood's idea of an elite Black Ops team. Maybe the plot for Expendables IV, when the CIA send in the Freedom Shepherds to stop Sly and his crew interfering in the Company's business...:icon_lol:

Maybe it'll catch on if America goes to war with Germany again.

What are the best things to go with it?

Eat it as-is with a tiny bit of salt sprinkled on. Also works great in green salads. Avocados are awesome. Be sure to pick one that isn't rock hard, nor too squishy.

Or you could just buy a net of hard ones and wait for them to ripen. Caution, though - more than any other fruit or vegetable, avocados have a fuckin ridiculously narrow window of opportunity, so be sure to squeeze'em every twelve hours. (Jeeze, sounds like Titty Manual 101)

I wasn't into them as a kid... not sure why. I'm a fan now though. They can save some pretty average tasting stuff. Tuna, dry chicken....

Very legitimate.
I usually buy one soft one or now and two hard ones on the off chance I catch one of them ripe in the following days.

Happy Canada Day, my brothers of the North. May your beers be stout, your syrup be maple and your demeanour be overly nice.

Avacados are the tits. Used to hate them, but I finally converted. I love them with breakfast. Added to an omelette it's hard to beat. And of course, it's great with Mexican plain or turned in to guacamole.

Forgot about eggs. So bangin.
Scrambled in irish butter, baked bacon, peppers, mushrooms, some melted gouda, then sliced avocado..... shit I'm hungry now

I just usually mashed the avocado and the spread it on a sandwhich.

What are the best things to go with it?

I am making a lot of salads with avocado at the moment.

Avocado, obviously. Some meat or fish, like chicken, tuna or smoked salmon. I might add another vegetable, like tomatoes or peppers. Some nuts- crushed walnuts or hazelnuts. Sometimes a little dried fruit, like slices of dried apricot or raisins. Sometimes mini-mozzarella. Some olive oil, sometimes also some balsamic vinegar or lemon juice. Sometimes some dried chili.

Avocados are great. I recently started using avocado oil in some recipes and it's so good. The flavour is mild so it doesn't overpower the spices you use but it adds a little extra oomph to your dish.

I saw avocado oil at Costco a while back, I had already bought some coconut oil, so I didn't need it. It was also very expensive. Is it worth the price?
