The Pub - Belph's Battle with Anorexia

I'd imagine the inverted version would be far easier on, the weights are so light and sets so short that you haven't got the same time under tension that you would normally have. Certainly no grinding of weights, or if you are then you're doing the programme wrong. The entire point of inverted Juggernaut is rep quality and accumulating quality work.

Fair points. I will probably try the Inverted Juggernaut at some point.

Oh, and get your ass to the Main and sign up for my Powerlifting Comp. I want as many competitors as possible.:icon_chee

Yeah, of the two I'd probably pick Juggernaut over the Cube.

You ever consider inverting BBB on 5/3/1? I just got back to lifting and started doing BBB. I'm only on week 2 and the 5x10 is already doing a number on my shoulders. I'm hoping it'll kind of subside after week 2 and I'll adapt to the work. If it doesn't I may try 10x5 instead.

If I ever run BBB again, I'll do one of the versions in Beyond 5/3/1. Probably the 5X3 template.

It could also be a body proportion issue. Most people at the lower strength levels pull more than they squat but there is a minority where the squat and deadlift are similar or squat might even be higher.

Obviously getting a form check to rule out form issues is a good idea though.

Got a form check in the main already. I probably am built to be a better squatter than deadlifter, though.

So I had my eye doctor check up, and things went really well. In February my pressure was 30 and then I started on drops. Then in March and April I had the laser surgery. Now my pressure is 7 in both eyes. I'll have another check in October, and if there still this low, I'll go back to just annual exams. So once I get some free time, I can start heavy lifting again. I've decided to stop boxing for good. It's just not worth the risk to my eyes.

Teddy Roosevelt (The president, not the poster) took up Judo after an losing sight in one eye due to boxing.

Somewhat bittersweet. But huzza, TF can lift heavy shit once more !

Glad to hear about the eyes, sucks about the boxing, but the right choice by the sounds of things.

Teddy was arguably the most Alpha President of them all.

Great that you can start Lifting again, although it sucks you can't Box anymore. But you're absolutely right to not risk your eyesight.

Those crazy russians with their flawless technique.

Now of course I just need some time to lift. Working on the house has pretty much taken up all my free time.

Hey man good stuff. Glad you can at least lift again.
Bummer to have a pursuit taken away from you like that though.

Vision though... that's a scary one.

I'd be happy to have you join the Powerlifting Comp, TF. It would give you specific targets to aim for.

I don't even know what my starting lifts would be, or if I'd even have a chance to test them before then.

Not a problem. The way things are going, this won't be about Improvement but Total Lifted. We're even considering running a mock Meet; everyone goes for PR's during a specific time. For example, the last two weeks in December.

Meanwhile in Russia..
