Here's what got me dubbed:

My last girlfriend never weighed more than 50kg, and was squatting a shade over 90kg. This was going from never having squatted in her life, to learning basic technique and mechanics, fixing some imbalances and other issues, to doing a basic strength and conditioning template across a period of 6 months, involving squatting twice a week.

The CF Strength Standards are setting the bar incredibly low with those numbers.

By those numbers, a former client of mine went from ACL reconstruction surgery to being nearly "elite" within a period of 8 months at the age of 16.

If you can't squat more than 300# and come here to get reassurance that "no, it's okay, you're actually pretty strong, everyone else is just being unfair in some way" then you're barking up the wrong fucking tree. You're weak, regardless of which level of strength sports you compare yourself too. There's no way around that, regardless of the excuses you make. End of story.

Jesus Christ, take a participation medal and go play in the corner or something.

Anyone have any good queues for activating the lats on the bench? Or is it not that big a deal? I always get tight before I bench, but I never think about my lats purposely.
 
Trying to turn my thumbs into the bar is what helped me the most. I felt like my benching became more consistent after that.

Yeah, But my Powerclean max is around 140 too. Something about pulling under and receiving the clean is fucking with me. I can snatch about 120, I know I can get about 155 over my head but consistently cleaning over 130 or even just 130 is just so hit or miss.

That's frustrating, for sure. Do you have a problem committing to the catch or in actually receiving the bar and recovering?

And I assume with your volume squatting you're well in excess with your FS of your clean, right? +20kg at least?

I feel like it's a little bit of both. I don't think I commit and it leads to problems receiving.

Helping hot girls get nicer asses is a pretty good calling. One of the few trainers at my gym who looked at things from a performance standpoint for most clients, and sensible programming with basic exercises and progression.
