The Prestige is Christopher Nolan's best movie hands down. It's flawless

I rate INCEPTION higher, but this is his #2 for me. Main trio cast just crushes it so hard. Plus Bowie for dessert. What's not to Love

I'd probably put Prestige either 4th behind:

Inception
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight

Or 5th behind (above +):

Interstellar.

I think Memento is his best film. Memento is one of the best films I've ever seen.

Memento is his best by far. I will need to rewatch it but I didn't get the reasoning behind having a cloning machine and pretending it was a transporting machine when one is just as impressive as the other. Imagine how much people would pay to clone themselves.

Watch this to see how great Memento is:

The Prestige is a 10/10 Perfect Movie.... until the cloning factor was added in.

It was a SciFi element that absolutely wasn't needed, and there were other writing solutions available for that arc.

The Prestige is Nolan's best film. He hasn't made any movie as good after it.

RIP Christopher Priest.

@1:30 - to me [Nolan] was a kid who wanted to get into Hollywood.

@2:30 - Sam Mendes who won 5 Academy Awards after American Beauty wanted to make The Prestige as a movie after his success.

@3:30 - Christopher Priest thought Nolan would be a better choice than Mendes, and decided to reject Mendes' offer. Nolan was unaware of this.

@4:45 - Nolan's Batman films were "boring and pretentious".

@6:00 - Nolan wants to be Kubrick, but he's better off being Hitchcock.

Someone should have told Priest that Nolan couldn't have made The Prestige if not for agreeing to do the Batman movies.
