PR The PR (Personal Record) thread, v.5

After over a year, I finally hit a clean & jerk PR. Ran out of time, as my first after school team was coming in, so I had to jump from 170 kg straight to 186 kg/410 lbs.

Hit 402lbs. on a squat today. Finally broke 4 bills.
 
Finally nearing the 500lbs mark... 485 here. Hopefully i will break 500 by years end, it has been a LONG road!

 
143/182 today for a 325 total, which is a +7 kg total PR. Also, I took a couple cracks at 152 snatch, which would have been a +2 kg PR, and a shot at 191 kg clean & jerk, which would have been a +5 kg PR. What was a good day was very close to being a great day.

225 overhead press
Wasn't into it at all but made myself go and glad I did. Ugly rep but it's up. In a couple weeks I'll do this gain and see if I can clean it up.

Dude, thats not a press. Your legs blatantly bend and straighten mid lift.

That's me wobbling not using my legs, but like I say in the description I need to clean this up.

ok. that's fair i suppose. i only max once every 2-3 weeks. next one will be regular. i just don't like the way my shoulders feel when i fail without the bars to halfdump it on
 
5 kg beltless squat triple PR and 2 kg, also beltless, DOH (no hook) deadlift PR.

 
Fuck man, about 559lb DOH, that's really impressive. What's your all-time deadlift PR (hook, straps or mixed)?
 
My best ever is 575 with a hook grip, but that is only because I'm a big pussy when it comes to deadlifting. If it even feels remotely hard off the floor, I stop pulling. I've hurt my back deadlifting before and I've never missed a snatch or clean because I didn't have a big enough pull (184 kg power clean), so I've never been overly worried about it.
 
Makes sense, no sense in risking things when deadlifting big weight isn't your goal.
