Using the 30D again has been fun, but man there's lots of dots. I also wiped out hard on my bike today. I got so fucking lucky. Everyone who saw was like we thought you were fucked. It was that bad. I'm a Sherbro. Shit don't keep me down.... cept for a minute or 2. Just saying.

Well from what the lady said, it looks like my saddle bags went into my back tire, which is why it locked up, went into the handle bars then over them, into the road and then belly flopped into the middle of it. Somehow just some scraps and bruises. I'm sore, but man I don't know how I got so lucky with all my spinal issues and no helmet.

Yikes. That sounds like it would be especially confusing since you didn't have time to brace or anything. Just one second you're riding, then the next flying.

When I was a kid, I was riding a 10-speed on a gravel path and it fetched up on a fist-sized rock.

I went arse over teakettle right over the handle bars. When I regained consciousness... aside from getting knocked out, there was no apparent damage except to my thighs getting scraped by the handlebars. Good times.

Oh, have I ever mentioned the time I got knocked off a bike after hitting a rock?

It's beautiful, but the half hour commute each way to town where we work, combined with our busiest time of year (both for me and the missus, that is) coinciding with the time of year the property needs the most maintenance is proving to be very difficult to keep up with so we're looking to buy a place in town and sell this one.

Cool coincidence: right now, the full moon is rising behind the trees out back while a gorgeous sunset lights up the sky out front. You'd love it. Sorry for being too lazy to take pics though, given the context.
