Yeah it hits home for me too, and most people I know. Seems like the most common way is by getting injured and dependent- so the drug finds you and not the other way around. I think we need to investigate drug manufacturers in the same way we did cigarette manufacturers, to see if they're intentionally making their products more addictive.
Oh fuuuuuck that. That's horror. IV meds really are fantastic though. I got morphine for my kidney stone and it was amazing. Had the same experience with pills afterward, didn't want to use them too long. They only prescribed me a small handful though. Some places will give you like 30 for a "week" when you only need them for a day or two.Since we're talking opioid addiction mini anecdote. I was in the hospital for a strep B infection.... in my damn scrotum that abscessed to like... baseball size.
They cut me open in the ER, drained it, and I was stuck in the hospital for like 3 nights. I left prescribed with vicodin and while in I had some IV painkillers available to me and some vicodin the last night (available) I only took pain meds once cause I was so damn scared of getting hooked.
The IV was duladid or however you spell it... shit felt amazing the first night when I had some to help sleep (was on like a 4 for painscale but couldn't sleep)... how good I felt scared the shit out of me.
I got 30 and used like.... 2 pills I think after leaving.Oh fuuuuuck that. That's horror. IV meds really are fantastic though. I got morphine for my kidney stone and it was amazing. This shit:Most of these fools are into fentanyl now . I wonder what’s next
There is still a shit ton of great rap out there, this Lil Peep, Gucci Gang shit is not it, or approaching it. I dont see how someone could listen to Aesop Rock or J Cole, then be the least bit interested in Lil Peep. It would be like listening to prime Metallica or Slayer, then going to Limp Bizkit.
its pointless unless they have no access to drugs inside, and get mandatory detox and support., youd need an army of social workers and drug treatment centres though.
it might help if the fuckers who started this by misprescribing, distributing and advertising it were hammered in the wallet, and some of them did time.
i suppose the horse has bolted now, fentanyl is coming in from mexico .
on godAesop and J Cole don’t make the same genre music. Lil Peep isn’t a good rapper because he’s not rapping. I always wondered why folks called him one.
He’s emo/pop/Bieber on opioids and honest about it in his lyrics. He’s not a good rapper but the sound he did put out in a short amount of time was unique.
Are there any modern rappers that use clear vocabulary and actually have a message? There is still a shit ton of great rap out there, this Lil Peep, Gucci Gang shit is not it, or approaching it. I dont see how someone could listen to Aesop Rock or J Cole, then be the least bit interested in Lil Peep. It would be like listening to prime Metallica or Slayer, then going to Limp Bizkit.
Yes.Do you believe there is one? Is there a simple solution to solving it? Is it overblown?
This is a true failure of modern conservatives. One that I've been saying for years.Yes there is one.
I've seen it...and have had people close to me fall victim to it.
Yes, some may dismiss this as anecdotal evidence, but I've seen it up close and personal.
and it fu*king angers me to no end that there are still so many people who on one hand, talk about the "evils" of marijuana, but are perfectly cool with the opiates pumped out in mass by pharmaceutical companies.
Conservatives, especially the backward Republican folks need to enter the 21st century and stop with this nonsense about "gate way drug"
delete this post and give it a shot. Could work.Would it be heartless to suggest that we ramp up incarceration of people caught with opiods? Or would the sarcasm not be obvious enough?
I'm glad you didn't forget about Dre.Yeah, I like Biggie, 2Pac, Nas, Wutang, NWA, Ice Cube/West Side Connection, Dr Dre, Xzibit, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Big L, etc. Grew up on 90's rap and rock, it was pretty good.
I don't really understand any of the new club mumble rap. I'm 30.

I think you'll survive.I don't have high expectations of the populace. I might find that someone has reported me.
