all that resume dont mean anything when the man you discrediting has a win over you and also has a win over another man who beat Aldo twice. its the greats of 'ALL TIME' how can you be greatest of all time when you're 0-4 against 3 guys in your prime.

You dont get to be the GOAT of the division just because you defend your belt more times against taxi drivers, Aldo literally brought his belt from another organization and started defending it in the UFC.. if Conor, max and Alex were given the same opportunity they'd have 10+ defences. What matters is who has the better wins.

Also he lost to all three of those guys in his prime. Just because you lose to better fighters dont mean you're out of your prime all of a sudden. he was in his late 20s and early 30s when he lost to these guys.

in before you say, he had an early prime lol... he is still winning fights so clearly he isn't washed like Ferg or Woodley... he just lost to better fighters in his prime, nothing wrong with that.

The hard pill for you to swallow is that title defenses matter. It will always be the case. Plus you mention wins without any context, which is a typical sherdog thing. Conor beat a young and green Holloway. Volk beat a past his prime Aldo.
It's also difficult comparing fighter from different eras. What is easy to compare is title defenses, consecutive wins, and overall legacy. Aldo is one of the GOATs, the GOAT FW.

stop coping, just becasue you lose to a better fighter dont mean you past your prime.. every GOAT i mentioned has 2 GOAT level win in their resumes outside ALDO

for Alex its Max x3 and Aldo
for Conor its Aldo and Max
Max its Aldo x2
Aldo has zero GOAT level wins in his resume, in fact he lost to all three GOAT level fighters in prime of his career.

nobody cares about title defences when you shit the bed against real high level fighters.

It's been almost 10 years since Conor fought at FW, and he had zero title defenses, but somehow that puts him above the guy who went undefeated for TEN FUCKING YEARS and compiled 9 title defenses?

If we're comparing the list of names they beat, Volk is actually behind both Max and Aldo.. Volk going 3-0 vs Max and defending 5x is what makes people put him ahead of Max. If we compare Volk and Max's win streaks, Max won 14 straight at 145 and Volk won 13. Volk defended 2 more times than Max but Max had to do more to get his shot.

Only significant win Volk has that Max doesn't is Mendes, Max has a bunch of good names on his resume that Volk doesn't.

Aldo, Max then Volk for me but I understand the argument of Volk being ahead of Max.
 
lol, all these intense arguments over what is essentially a made up subjective list. TS doesn’t think Aldo is the best. It’s a very unpopular opinion, but who really cares?
