First single for Nille's upcoming album just dropped. I honestly didn't like it. I miss earlier Nile songs with the epic egyptian passages (i.e. Ramses, bringer of war), idk some might say that was gimmicky, but at least it was somehow different. This sounds like every other generic brutal death metal band. Boring and dissapoiting.

Yeah Nile are one of my favourite DM bands but I haven't been so keen on their latest stuff, including this

I saw someone talking about this track when it first released and I thought the song title was a parody of nile song titles lol

Don't think they'll ever top their darkened shrines and annihilation of the wicked era. Those albums are truly epic DM

Didn't really like the last album Shrine had a few good tunes but i feel like there is too much riff recycling going on with this band now. Era and Fracture are fantastic albums though.

Loving the new album. These guys are a must see live. They came up to San Francisco first time in 15 years last year and killed it. I had Albert Gonzales shredding right in my face.
