Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

Going to see the concert headlined by Fleshgod Apocalypse in Quebec City in a couple months.

Lineup:

Fleshgod apocalypse
Obscura
Thulcandra

Wolfheart

Will go for the sake of watching Thulcandra (Dissection worship) and Obscura (tech death).

Will probably walk out after Obscura finish their set. Fleshgod had an amazing debut, a great EP, but then went then became an unbearable "symphonic death metal" band. They don't play the old br00tal stuff live.

German thrash metal never dies! I just realized both Destruction and Kreator released new albums in 2022

Honestly, they both sound amazing. Can't believe how much energy and vitality they still have.

Both bands formed in 1982 and have members pushing 60 years old

It is bloody remarkable how much metal endures. In defiance of all trends and age itself! Horns up

Destruction are fucking awesome. I'm still partial to their rough as fuck early albums too.

Sentenced of death is amazing shit.

That cover influenced many scenes at the same time towards that image.

New Obituary rips, they just crank through great riff after great riff, transitioning seamlessly, and Tardy is my GOAT DM vocalist.

The greatest comeback in core history

Just got tickets to see Napalm Death again in about 5 weeks, should be good fun
Cool to still have them touring. First time I saw them live was back in October 2000 on the Enemies of the music business tour with Nasum as supporting band. Last time in 2015 with Carcass, Voivod and Obituary. Few other times in between. Never dissapointed. Sometimes they sound better than others but 10/10 in attitude on every show.

Yeah, loved carcass, Obituary and Napalm on that show...however I hated Voivod (and It was my second time seeing them live) I've unsuccessfully tried to enjoy their albums many times and def acknowledge their skills, but ultimately just can't stand them.
